"Where to begin? I had the same problem with the..."

- curbside

Where to begin? I had the same problem with the "free" floormats - except I didn't even ask for them. Do they purposely take all the floormats out while the cars are on the lot so they can scam you on the day of purchase? Never mind that our salesman didn't bother to schedule our scheduled pickup into his schedule. But this pales in comparision to the fact that apparently they expect the buyer to do the CPO inspection themselves. I've had the car a week and already I've been back to the dealer for three pretty serious problems... bad coolant temp sensor, clogged drain flooded the interior and the anti-rattle clip fell off the rr caliper... I knew better than to purchase a car there - but I thought "How bad could it be? It's CPO?" I guess that doesn't mean much when a bunch of PepBoy's rejects are doing the certifying. Can anyone get decent service at a dealer or must you be a blood relative of the owner? Bright spot? - Dan the service manager is customer focused and reasonable helpful...

"I have to say I have had NO SUCH bad luck as others..."

- BlackE46M3

I have to say I have had NO SUCH bad luck as others mentioned on this board. I started taking my cars (97 M3 and most recent 02 M3) to BMW of North Haven after a major issue with New Country, and I have to say they have gone above and beyond on pretty much all the issues I've needed help with, including fitting me in on short notice. I have had follow up calls asking if things were OK, I have had friendly call backs from Service Writers and sure there have been a couple instances where they forgot to call back or whatever but overall it's been OK. Certainly no quality issues with work.

"Had my Dinan Software installed. Did NOT like the..."

- gusser

Had my Dinan Software installed. Did NOT like the service rep - seemed sleasy to me. Manager wanted 1 hour of labor to do the install. I argued that I know how long it takes. He claimed that it takes a long time to clear all the faults in the computer. We settle on 1/2 hour of time.

I watched the "kid" pick up my car and drop it back off in 10 minutes flat. I walked out and talked to him. I said "i thought this would take a 1/2 hour due to clearing the fault codes". He replied: "Oh, the software automatically clears all the fault codes instantly". I got boned on that one :(

Also, when I test drove a LSB car, they tried to sell it to me. Claimed the prior owner was upgrading to an M5. Later I find out that this was the dealer's demo. I was so mad that I bought the car from County Line and have been basically happy ever since.

"my honest opinion is you could get better service at..."

- mattbmx

my honest opinion is you could get better service at midas for your car. i live right behind this dealership and my father knows the owner. i first brought my cpo certified '98 m3 here for a simple broken door lock motor. it came back with a broken power window which they rebroke installing the new parts. next was the hesitation, which it has been to them for 10 visits totalling nearly a month in time sitting there. problem was not ever resolved. one time they replaced the cats and a lower subframe bar was not tightened and fell off the car. they also snapped the belts in both right side tires. they respect your car so much the service guy proceeded to do a burnout in my car right in front of me. they replaced my defective tranny and headgasket and now the valves tick, timing seems off and the clutch i paid them to replace has a bad throw out bearing which was replaced. they have treated me like dirt and ignore phone calls, lie to your face even when your father is a cop going there in uniform. the service manager tino is a complete waste of skin. once you puy your car here it will be cursed with problems for its entire life. by the way i've owned the car for a year and am ashamed to drive a bmw. this car dealership group is a complete joke. bmw's reputation is not withheld here. email me for more info.
