(1) I wanted to have registration in my and my wife’s name. As she is in No. CA, Paul Steiding advised this could be handled at the dealership by way of DocuSign when I came to pick up the car. On that day, I went to your financial office and Carlos Salinas told me it was not possible to do DocuSign and that my wife could not be on the title. Certainly DocuSign could have been accomplished. Now I have to jump through hoops and pay an extra DMV fee to change title. (2) When I came to pick up the car, Paul asked me for proof of insurance. As I got a ride to your dealership, I had no proof for any of my other vehicles with me. I then had to make phone calls and finally reach my insurance broker and arrange for proof of insurance. This delay and aggravation could have been avoided had I known beforehand of your requirement for proof of insurance. (3) Carlos told me the brake pads on the X5 would be worn out within 15 to 20,000 miles and did so without asking me what kind of driving I did. Nobody told me of this premature brake pad wear beforehand. No reviews of the X5 that I've read mentioned this. Carlos first offered a discount for 3 years on a brake job. It became more of a pressure campaign and scare tactic after I initially declined. I was disappointed that BMW would engage in this kind of pitch to sell a brake job. More
