Great on the spot service Trekked in early Saturday morning with engine light on and NO appointment. Busy morning. Service department lack of communication December 5, 2019 Driver side exterior door handle came off in my hand. Drove to Sarasota BMW to have looked at and or fixed. Checked in and told t December 5, 2019 Driver side exterior door handle came off in my hand. Drove to Sarasota BMW to have looked at and or fixed. Checked in and told to go to the lounge. Ten minutes later I was told that I would have to make an appointment to get it fixed. Made an appointment for December 10, 2019, first available. December 10, 2019 Drove to Sarasota BMW for the appointment believing that the handle would be fixed, only to find that this time they looked to see what the problem was and that the parts would have to be ordered and painted. They will call when the parts come in. I go out to the car and the door handle is hanging on the outside of the car. After 10 minutes of my trying to get it realigned I finally succeeded in placing the handle back into the door so that it would not be scraping the car on the way back home. December 14, 2019 Texted the handle was in and ready to be installed. New door handle was installed that day. Why wasn't the car looked at and parts ordered on the first visit instead of us making three trips to Sarasota or a temporary fix while waiting for parts. We will not recommend Sarasota to friends for service. More
