Follow up on Glove box 2011 Convertible- contacted the service manager Ron Ptak and explained the encounter. He was unaware of the ongoing issue. He handled the case personally and put his best guys on this job. Glove box must be changed/?faulty, I was informed- met with Ron, Roberto and shop forman. Few days later received a call from Ron that Glove box has arrived, scheduled the appointment and glove box was changed. Swift action. Ron kept me informed in every corner and stayed beyond his job hours to deliver the car to me. On many pickup/drop offs that I had, I also worked with Jack very knowledgeable guy and Jaun the loaner car manager. They all (including Roberto)worked hard to process pick up/drop offs quick and easy as I had to rush to work. Ron is a great gentleman with fantastic customer service, serious about the job and in my case he made all the efforts to ensure optimum result- I am sure he will do for every costumer. His professionalism brought me back. Glovebox is working fine for now! Unusual problem for this sophisticated machine! On a different note, I got to drive different BMWs (loaner cars) in this journey; I tell you that, nothing beats the Topless! More

On our initial visit we met with David who was very knowledgable about the Honda in question as well as other cars they had in our price range. After deciding on the we Honda both David and Rick were willing to work with us to arrive at a price we were happy with. They were very professional and personable and seemed genuinely interested in finding the best deal for us. It's my hope that one day we'll be able to afford one of those shiny new BMW's but even if we can't BMW Silver Spring will be the first place we look for our future used car needs. More

Our salesperson at Silver Spring BMW, Kevin Hemmis, was fantastic. He answered all of our questions and provided a prompt, very reasonable price quote. They supplied answers to all of our question, and I flew up to Maryland to purchase the vehicle. The vehicle itself was in immaculate condition, and the entire staff was very helpful and friendly. It was well worth the flight from Atlanta to get such a great deal on the car and to purchase the vehicle from such a reputable, honest BMW dealership because as we discovered, not all BMW dealerships are created equally. My experience with BMW of Silver Spring was not a positive one. I recently purchased a 2004 BMW X3 3.0 with only 42,000 miles on it. The salesman, Lonnie, was polite and efficient, and is the only re positive one. I recently purchased a 2004 BMW X3 3.0 with only 42,000 miles on it. The salesman, Lonnie, was polite and efficient, and is the only reason why I have this dealership 2 stars. After working out the details of the sale with Lonnie, the Used Car Sales Manager, Rick, came over to review things. I inquired about what guaruntees came with the car, and he reviewed the usual (or legally required) material with me - 3 days money-back guaruntee and 30-day, 1,000 mile powertrain warranty covered 100%. I had planned on purchasing a certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicle because BMW repairs tend to be expensive. Rick assurred me that his dealership was out to provide excellent customer service and I stupidly took his word on it after shaking his hand. 70 hours after the sale, my panaramic moonroof broke. It became stuck open and would not close. I was assigned Roberto as my service advisor. Even though it was les than 72 hours when I reported the problem, Roberto called to tell me the dealership was not covering the repair and that it would cost $2,700 to repair. Obviously I found this to be unacceptable and spoke with Rick, who after two days of back-and-forth phone calls advised me that the best they could do was discount the repair to $1,400. Still unsatisfied, I spoke to Mark, the general sales manager. He promised to at least have the roof sealed so I could use the vehicle. So, I went to pick up my new X3...and found that they had left the sunshade open and disconnected power to the moonroof, leaving me with a lovely view of bird feces and little noise protection. Roberto,clearly thrown into a messy situation and always in a hurry, promised to have it fixed by the next day. After his call, I returned to the dealership - to find the check engine light on. For the second time in two days I returned home in the same loaner car. Roberto called the next day to advise an air valve in the engine had become stuck open, and that again the dealer was not covering this (despite the car being within the powertrain warranty). After threatening to cancel the cashier's check I used to pay the deposit, Rick agreed to cover the powertrain item that was so obviously covered by the 30-day warranty. My fight to have the mooonroof fixed is not over and I would definitely NOT reccomend this dealership to anyone. Two stars because of the mild-mannered salesman and the nice Z4 loaner. More
