Buying a car is a very stressful event especially when buying a high end vehicle like a BMW. I purchased a used 3 series BMW. I had a few minor issues and let my nerves get the best of me. Rick, Lonnie and Anthony couldn't have been nicer, they were very patient, calm and very friendly with me. They know their buissness and seemed to be aware of the stressfulness of the situation. My issues were resolved and I took delivery of my car. I really appreciate how I was treated by them even when I wasn't so nice. I wanted to also comment on the condition of the vehicle. I bought a 2007 vehicle but to look at it, it looks brand new. They did an excellent job of reconditioning my vehicle as well as all the others on their lot. I had visited a few other BMW dealers and was not pleased. I did not feel comfortable, I did not feel like I was a valued customer and felt like all they wanted to do was sell me a car and make as much money as they could. I had all but given up on buying a BMW for that reason. I found this website and saw the high rating BMW of Silver Spring had acheived and decided to give them a try (plus they had the exact car I wanted) and I am glad I did. I was greeted when I walked in, offered a beverage, they opened doors for me and all the sales people had smiles and happy to answer all my questions. I shpped for a used car for about 8 weeks. My experience with dealers in general had been mediocre at best. I had always felt pressured. When I came to BMW of Silver Spring, I did not feel this pressure. I met with Lonnie, and he set me up for a test drive of a used 528 xi. He was very informative and knowledgable about the car itself. He pointed out a minor blemish that had been previously overlooked and offerred to fix it if we arrived at a deal for the car. I was glad he was open about this up front. I knew what I wanted from the start so I was a pretty easy buyer to work with. However, Lonnie was a very easy salesman as well. We had an easy going conversation about the price of the vehicle and the trade in value of my old vehicle. Lonnie even helped me install a car seat from my old car into my new car. I would not hesitate to recommend a prospective buyer to BMW of Silver Spring. Furthermore, I would recommend they ask for Lonnie because of my positive experience with him. More

This was easily the best new car buying experience I have had (been buying cars since 1991). This dealership and Kevin in sales just made life easier for me. As some of you might know, buying a new BMW can b had (been buying cars since 1991). This dealership and Kevin in sales just made life easier for me. As some of you might know, buying a new BMW can be stressful - little or no price breaks, no big incentives like US cars, and an almost palpable expectation of 'paying a premium'. But it's my money and I want to know I am getting a deal! This is why I don't use the dealership in my area. I live over 3 hours away in PA so it was critical that the process was smooth with no hassles. Kevin really made it easy. A few emails and phone calls about price, financing options, and logistics to get to the dealership and I was on my way. Even with the long day of Amtrak in Philly to Union Station in DC to the Metro in Silver Spring (they picked me up at the Metro station), I still feel like I am way ahead on this deal. Great price, great service, no pretense. I am going back to them for my next BMW too. More
Overall one of the least stressful car purchases we've made. Our salesmen was very accommodating, and we were able to come to an agreement on price fairly quickly. I've experienced a lot of condescending, elitist salespeople before, but I got NONE of that from Michael. I felt that he would have given me the same amount of respect and attention regardless of whether I came to spend 20k or 200k. A true professional, and a wonderful salesperson. I recommended him to my father who is in the market for a BMW as well, and will recommend him to anyone else looking for an automobile. Thank you Michael, and Tischer BMW for maintaining a standard of a way a business should be run in a time where service and courtesy always falls victim to profit margins. More
This was my first experience buying a car remotely. I found this BMW X5 on the BMW's US website. This vehicle fit my parameters, but was at Tischer BMW in Maryland. I called in to find more information regarding the vehicle, and was helped by Kailash Joshi. I was very happy with the guidance he provided in chosing this vehicle especially when I was a little nervous sitting 400 miles away from the dealership. Kailash and Joanna worked with me on getting good financing to make the purchase. I flew to Baltimore one-way, and Kailash was kind enough to pick me up from the airport. After arriving at the dealership, he showed me the car, and allowed me to take a test drive. I was pleased to observe that Kailash was not being pushy, and allowed me to take my time checking out the X5. Joanna went over the paperwork in detail and explained me all the options I had. We were able to finish up the paperwork quickly, after which Kailash went over all the X5 manuals/books with me. Later, Kailash gave me a very impressive demo of the car, explaining me all the features and functions that I had on my X5. I learnt things that I was not told about earlier when I purchased my 3 series (from another dealership!!). Overall, it was a very nice experience buying the X5 from Tischer BMW, especially when I was a little nervous making a decision remotely. I was on my way back to Ohio, driving and enjoying my new X5 in no time. One thing that I really appreciate is, that Kailash called me a few hours later to check on me and find out if I was doing okay on my drive back to Ohio. I would certainly recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking to buy a certified or a new BMW....and just ask for Kailash and Joanna! They are great to work with! More
You have a very good Service Consultant in Michael Crawford. I called in to shop price on a brake service due to another dealer telling my brakes were paper thin. I have owned this vehicle since it was brand new and know to wait for the indicator. When I called, I could tell that the Service Department was jumping, usually on Saturday’s. The lady whom answered the phone quickly, told me all Advisors / Consultants were help other customers. She preceeded to take down my name and number. Approximately around 3:05pm, Mr. Crawford called me, gave me some pricing, and invited me to BMW of Silver Spring to have my brakes checked. At this time, I pulled up your website to see who I was on the other end of the phone. Mr. Crawford did not have to call especially when I notice your Service Department was closed. He spent more than 15 minutes on the phone with me and I did not feel rushed or hurried off the phone. I have been a loyal customer of Passport BMW, but their Service is horrible. I have been waiting three days to receive a phone call from Passport to collect the same information that Mr. Crawford provided me within a few minutes. I am sold on BMW of Silver Spring / Tischer BMW after my encounter with Mr. Crawford and after reading the nice things other customers have said here on Dealer Rater. New Service Customer, L.
