I loathe car dealer so much that my last two vehicle purchases bypassed the dealer all together. This time I had a few cars I was looking at and the only way to figure out which one to get was to drop b purchases bypassed the dealer all together. I decided to stop by Silver Spring BMW because I had a lot of questions regarding the Certified Pre-Owned(CPO) program and the cars. BMW has a blizzard of features and trim levels plus I was wondering if there were any hidden caveats with the CPO(not really). I met Manny and he described the CPO program and the vehicle features. After all of that he offered a test drive of a specific car I had looked at online and we went for a ride. Thankfully Manny knows his cars and was able to answer all of my questions with solid answers. Even better, he pointed out a lot of details I was unaware of. I'd been by a few other dealers and it's pretty sad that I know more about their cars than they do. When the test drive was finished, we went back inside and Manny layed out purchase options. No BS gimmicks, no pressure, just "here it is". After I left I didn't get annoying calls, just a brief E-mail after a few days. Once I made the decision everything was pretty simple and the price was actually a bit less than quoted. Out of state registration was not an issue. The other nice thing, the car was detailed extremely well. Even though the car is a CPO, it looks brand new. More

What impressed me the most is that Andy had the vehicle warmed up, prepped, and ready upon arrival. I must admit that I am NOT the easiest customer to please, but Andy and crew was able to entertain all of my demands flawlessly, and that speaks volumes. This is the second time in two years I have visited this dealer. Back in 2009 I did not have that great of an experience here when shopping for a new or pre-owned 335 convertible. We revisited this dealer in January 2011 when shopping for a pre-owned 535xi, and had a much better experience this time around. The sales associate we worked with (Kailash Joshi) was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire sales process. It was a "no pressure" experience, our sales associate was very friendly/knowledgable, and we felt we received a fair offer for the trade in of our current vehicle and a competitive price for the purchase of the certified pre-owned vehicle. We would definitely recommend this dealer and sales associate to others shopping for BMW's in the DC area. More

In the middle of our car buying experience we decided to switch to European Delivery. This change is plan seemed almost effortless, thanks to Kailash for understanding our needs and making the necessary changes with the smile on the face. And not just that, he gave us great suggestions on things to do and places to see in Germany. Kailash did keep us in the loop on the progress and delivery date of our new car. I highly recommend Kailash as a salesman. However, experience with Joanna McCarthy wasn't as good. She gave us a wrong interest rate, lower than what we should have gotten. We had to stop by the dealership on the day we were flying to Europe to sign the corrected paper work. That left a bitter taste in our mouth as we were heading to pick up our new car. If you happen to get Joanna as your finance manager then make sure all your documents are accurate. Kailash even followed up while we were in Germany to check and see how the ED experience was. After returning Kailash followed up on the US delivery dates. Unfortunately Kailash was on vacation when we picked up the car from the dealer. I could have given all 5s, but Joanna's mistake brings down the rating. More
