I was extremely excited to pay off my 2018 BMW recently. The BMW Finance dept sent me my Title in the mail, however they did Not REMOVE the lien on the car. They told me to go the DMV to have the lien remov The BMW Finance dept sent me my Title in the mail, however they did Not REMOVE the lien on the car. They told me to go the DMV to have the lien removed. BMW Of Westlake is NOT Responsible for the run around I received I called them since I had purchased the car from them. I called Michael Niedzwiecki at BMW in Westlake, and told him what their Finance dept told me which is located in Hilliard Ohio. What I told Mike he was surprised to hear what I had to say, however a simple follow up with a phone call would have been appreciated. but there’s was no follow up as to why I was required to go the DMV to have the BMW Lien removed. I had to pay a fee to have the BMW lien removed even though I had paid off my car.. Just a heads up, who ever is paying off their cars make sure that BMW’s Finance department ( if it financed with them ) removes the LIEN on their cars before sending you the Original title. More
