The Service Representative Mr. D'Ottavio told me that my wait time would be about ninety-minutes. Once I was notified that my car was ready to go and I entered my vehicle, I noted that the wait time was quite accurate. This type of efficiency at Bay Ridge Subaru service is important for customers, because work and family can't be put on hold indefinitely while cars sit in service bays unattended due to poor shop management. I have been a loyal customer of Bay Ridge service through the ownership of my Subaru. All oil changes, company-wide recall work and a 30,000 mile maintenance service were all performed at Bay Ridge. Great Customer Focus I brought my car in three separate times over the course of two months because the check engine light was on. The first time the solenoid value was re I brought my car in three separate times over the course of two months because the check engine light was on. The first time the solenoid value was replaced. The second time the cannister was replaced. The last time Michael advised that the gas tank would have to be dropped to look at the vent valves on top of it, which would take about seven hours to complete. When I picked my car up, I was only charged about $60 for a replacement part - and not about $900 in labor costs. Michael and his supervisor agreed to waive the labor costs in recognition of my time and effort in bringing the car in three times for the same problem. I understood the rationale of needing to solve the problem via a process of elimination. That said, I very much appreciated that Subaru tangibly showed great customer service by waiving the labor costs in view of the circumstances. More
