Aj was awesome. I went to the dealership for an oil change and tire rotation on my 2017 Mitsubishi. While waiting in the service area I was approached by a salesperson to see if I wanted to upgrade to a newer version rotation on my 2017 Mitsubishi. While waiting in the service area I was approached by a salesperson to see if I wanted to upgrade to a newer version of my car. Although the sales person was friendly and nice, I was ultimately not approved to upgrade to a newer car. I told the sales person from the beginning that I believed I wouldn’t be approved and that I had no intention of getting a new car that day, yet he still pursued the transaction and ran my credit etc. I also specifically asked that hard credit inquiries and/or multiple credit inquiries NOT be done, as each one will affect my credit score. The salesperson assured me that they would only do ONE “soft pull” on my credit, that would not affect my score. Wouldn’t you know, today on my credit report there are 3 separate auto financing hard inquiries on my credit report, and my score has gone down. This is partly my fault for not just saying NO, but I sincerely hope I don’t have to fend off sales folks every time I go into get my car serviced there in the future. If I do again, I will go elsewhere. The service department was courteous and helpful. More
