Just bought a used Toyota Tacoma. The truck is in excellent condition and they worked hard to meet our budget! Would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from them. Very friendly and went above and beyond what we expected. More
Very helpful and friendly service. We had a great experience buying a pre-owned car and felt like all the staff we met with were able to talk us through the process and make buying a call an easy and experience buying a pre-owned car and felt like all the staff we met with were able to talk us through the process and make buying a call an easy and user-friendly experience. Only thing that could have made it better was a limited supply of pre-owned cars and ability to access cars from other dealers in their affiliate. But overall we were very happy. More
This was by far the best car buying experience I have had! We had been looking for a new family car for weeks and were frustrated with the sales approaches and lack of great deals we were finding at oth had! We had been looking for a new family car for weeks and were frustrated with the sales approaches and lack of great deals we were finding at other local dealerships. I had just about given up when I decided to email Berlin City about a 2012 Toyota Camry that I felt would meet our needs. Tim Brown immediately responded with a price quote on the new Camry that would have been hard to ignore. Later that week we went to the dealership for a test drive and to see what deal could be made with my trade in. We received our offer and decided to think about it as I am a stubborn and wanted more for my trade. The next day Tim emailed me with a deal that I knew could not be outdone. We purchased the Camry about one week after my initial inquiry and Tim was very patient and did not pressure us in any way! No buyer's remorse here and I love my new Camry!! Thank you so much Tim Brown and Berlin City for making this a great experience! I will definitely go back to Berlin City for my next vehicle purchase! More
I do not mind service to take as long as it needs. I mind being told on the phone it will take 30 minutes, and then have it end up taking an hour and a half. I don't expect estimates of time to be off by tha being told on the phone it will take 30 minutes, and then have it end up taking an hour and a half. I don't expect estimates of time to be off by that much for an oil change with an appointment. More
I had an excellent experience at Berlin City. I had been to another dealer the day prior to walking into Berlin City and was very disappointed with my service. Ed was amazing and truly listened to what I wa to another dealer the day prior to walking into Berlin City and was very disappointed with my service. Ed was amazing and truly listened to what I was looking for. I walked away with a car that was exactly what I had in mind. He listened to what I wanted and that was very important to me. Each person I met while I was at Berlin City was very nice as well with smiles on their faces. I would recommend Berlin City to anyone that I know and everyone that I don't know. :) More
Sales team was awful. Went in to purchase a new toyota, got a price, told the sales team I was paying cash, got a check, screwed me on the price. No apology, no nothing from them. I also had the worst time got a price, told the sales team I was paying cash, got a check, screwed me on the price. No apology, no nothing from them. I also had the worst time attempting to get my deposit back on the car I was going to purchase. Worst experience EVER buying a car. My advice, skip Berlin City and go to Prime in Saco. Better deal, better sales team, much much better service. More
I wish I had seen the review posted before mine before I made the decision to buy from Berlin City. I purchased a 2012 Rav4 which had been a manager "demo". When I got home, I found chipped paint, food crum made the decision to buy from Berlin City. I purchased a 2012 Rav4 which had been a manager "demo". When I got home, I found chipped paint, food crumbs, an earring, a nickle, stained floor carpet, etc. The car had obviously been beat on for those first 5000 miles - yet the dealership represented it as a "NEW" car. Watch out for that. Fortunately they did take it back with no argument. They voluntarily waived their $300 restocking fee. I was disappointed that their answer to my complaint was "we can't make you happy, just bring it back." Also, I emailed my complaint and photos to the salesman, finance manager, sales manager and dealership GM. I haven't heard a word from the sales manager or the GM. Obviously customer service isn't that important. I purchased the exact same car from Prime Toyota in Saco - the only difference is that the Prime car came with floor mats and Berlin City's did not. With no negotiating whatsoever Prime came in at a lower price. Go there instead. The sales guys at Berlin City are friendly enough - but keep in mind that they are there to make a commission on car sales. You are there to spend 10-30K+. If they aren't "nice" or won't "thoroughly show you" the car there is something totally wrong! More
First of all I don't typically write reviews but they left a bad taste in our mouths... Be Careful. They tried to sell us a car with 2600 miles on it already that was a beaten up "demo" by whoever was left a bad taste in our mouths... Be Careful. They tried to sell us a car with 2600 miles on it already that was a beaten up "demo" by whoever was driving it from the dealer (coffee spilled down the driver door, crap ground into carpet...etc.)...marketed to us as a "new" car and after a lot of back and forth they came down to "invoice price." The SAME EXACT car on their website (VIN numbers matched) was advertised as $2K BELOW invoice....if they were honest you'd think they would have let us know "Hey this car is on special currently for $2K less than invoice...." right out of the gates...They put the steal in stealership. Went down the road to Prime Toyota the next day and bought a new car (23 miles, not 2600) for under "invoice price" and got to that price within 10 minutes of getting in the door. Very different experience at other dealers is all I'm saying. More
Seriously best experience we have ever had buying a vehicle! We never felt as if we were being rushed, never felt like we were wasting Tom's time, and he also took our motorcycle off our hands for a de vehicle! We never felt as if we were being rushed, never felt like we were wasting Tom's time, and he also took our motorcycle off our hands for a decent price. He was friendly, outgoing and very personable, and very respectful. We will never buy a toyota anywhere else! We are very happy with our tacoma! And since we have had such great customer service, we have been telling anyone that is looking for a vehicle that they should go see Tom, and even everyone who is not. Thank you Tom for all your hard work and time you spent on us, it was very much appreciated!!! Whatever you are getting paid, it is not enough ;-) , and we hope to do business with you again in the future and take care! Thank you again, Scott and Elizabeth More
When I first came to the dealership I was helped by Jared who was very friendly and very helpful. I purchased a car that I was really excited to own and felt that I was given a good deal. I was sure to check who was very friendly and very helpful. I purchased a car that I was really excited to own and felt that I was given a good deal. I was sure to check the car fax to make sure the car had not been in an accident and was sure the car was safe to drive. After a day of owning the car I noticed the alignment was way off so I called Berlin and was told that they would fix the alignemt for me so this made me feel better. I knew the car had a few dings in the bumper but figured until this point that it was just cosmetic. Because I really liked the car I just bought I was considering paying to get the dents taken out so my car would look super good. I took the car to a local auto body shop and was present while we checked the car over to get a estimate for the repairs. Unfortunately the dings were much more serious then I had assumed and I had not noticed that one of the alloy wheels was shredded up pretty badly. Also parts of the absorber in my bumper were broken off and missing due to some sort of impact. Total cost to repair all damages to the car were over $1,000... my car was "Toyota certified". The auto body shop told me that this was serious damage to the bumper and that it was not safe to drive. This was distressing news so I decided to go into the dealership so they could see the car instead of calling again. When I came into Berlin City I spoke with the manager and was discouraged about how the conversation was going. I felt interrogated and became incredibly nervous. The situation seemed as though if I didn't know what I was talking about in terms of cars I would be screwed with car that was unsafe to drive. After a lengthy conversation witch included three men altogether I was told that they would pay for a new absorber but not a new bumper. I stated that if the bumper was hit hard enough that the absorber snapped and broke off in places it seemed to make sense that the bumper was not good too... So then they said they would pay to get both fixed only at a body shop of there choosing. I agreed and left. Once I was back in my car I felt horrible and felt like Berlin City cared only about saving money. Because I had a 4 day money back guarantee I decided to return the car (I had only had the car for 3 days). After telling the manager I didn't want the car anymore I was asked by 5 or 6 different people about why don't you want the car, can we find you another car, and what was wrong with the car. Although this might sound like it was because all of there employee's were concerned about my satisfaction I truly felt bullied and pressured. The men became rude to me and it was clear to me that they were annoyed by my presence. I decided to leave the car at the dealership and come back another time to get my check. Eventually I got my money back (minus about $300 for a filing fee) and was glad to have the bad experience over with. Also later Jared called me again after he had heard that I returned the car. I felt badly for this worker because I figured he must have lost his money in the sales of the car so I was really polite and listened to everything that he had wanted to say. It seemed he was mad and I didn't understand why, it wasn't my fault the car was busted... It was an awkward conversation. I really hope that they check there cars better before selling them to someone else. If I had been in an accident I can not imagine what could have happen... The driver side bumper was MISSING CHUNKS of its absorber. I might not be a mechanic but most people know crashing into a car with nothing but the metal frame to your car as protection is seriously dangerous. More
