Do not buy your car from here. It was the worst car buying experience we’ve ever gone thru. They tried to make us sign a document for our trade in before they even gave us a number and before we even decided to purchase our car here. Our salesperson Nina lied at several points of the transaction. First when we asked about a huge amount $4,530 being deducted from our trade in amount. She claimed that they were after market add ons that the dealership mandatorily made for each of their vehicles. Then she said we could haggle this with finance. We found out later that there was a document we had to acknowledge and sign to these add ons. We found this out from the Finance guy who told us we could not “haggle” that these were non negotiable. When we yelled enough about it, that had we known we would have gone to another dealership they gave us a small discount. Then she lied about our license plate brackets when we went to go pick up the car (3 days later) that there was a manufacturing defect on the front bracket that was causing an issue with the cameras. Texas requires a front license plate and we were worried about getting stopped because of it. She said they were working on a solution. Found out from the service guy doing the tinting on the car that someone took the brackets off to detail the car and lost them. Third lie was about the tinting. First she said they could do a 5% then said they couldn’t do it then said yes they could and to go ahead and bring it in to get done free of charge. It was not 5%. If you couldn’t actually do 5% then just say so and we would have paid to get it done somewhere else. Now I’m having to deal with the added frustration of getting a hold of someone at the dealership to find out why after 22 business days after they still haven’t paid off my trade in loan balance even though every time I call I’m assured that it will be taken care of immediately. No one calls me back. The employees at this dealership can’t open their mouths without telling a lie or a half truth. I know that’s kind of the expectation with car dealerships, but they seem to lie about things for no reason. Save yourself the trouble and avoid all Big Star dealerships in general. Ever since we bought the car and told our friends and family our issues we’re hearing all the bad things about it. I should have just gone back to DeMontrond in Texas City where I bought my last Hyundai. This whole thing makes me want to get rid of our new car so I don’t have to deal with Big Star ever again. Started off great, but once the sale was done, that was it, they won't take your calls or call you back. That's not the correct way to run a business. it, they won't take your calls or call you back. That's not the correct way to run a business. More

I had a service appointment at Big Star Hyundai at the end of November and authorized only an oil change for my vehicle. However, I later received a video from the technician showing different parts of my end of November and authorized only an oil change for my vehicle. However, I later received a video from the technician showing different parts of my car being removed, including filters, as they pointed out potential services I “needed.” My concern is simple: I did not authorize any additional work, so I don’t understand why parts of my car were being taken out in the first place. I recognize that the intent may have been to inform me, but this should not involve removing components I didn’t agree to have touched. What makes this even worse is that less than a week after my service, my AC stopped working. I’m expected to believe this is a coincidence, but I honestly don’t. The issue now requires a repair that will cost me almost $1,000, and I have strong reason to believe it was caused during the service I received. Overall, this experience has left me extremely disappointed and distrustful of the service department. More
