I had spent weeks searching for a very specific, used 2021 BMW X3 with all the upgrades. An exact match popped up on the BMWUSA/Bill Jacobs web site on a Friday afternoon. I called Bill Jacobs BMW immediately. Jose Vargas answered my call. I immediately plunged Jose into a time compression scenario confirming the exact match at which time I told him I was a pilot, lived in Denver and would be in his Chicago showroom at 11:00 am the next day. I will spare the details, but in less that 19 hours from the time Jose took my call, the car had been detailed, put on display in the showroom and all the paperwork was ready to purchase the car of my wife’s dreams. I was on my way back to Denver by 1 pm that day. I’ve learned from flying in 2 wars and hundreds of intense situations that the greatest of pilots emerge in unusual OR time compression scenarios. Recently bought a suv from Bill Jacobs BMW in naperville. I saw a different suv on the website, and when I called I was told that it was under contract.
