My husband and I went to the Rockland Home Show and were surprised to find Bill Kolb's Subarus there. Since we were in the market for a new car and Subaru was on top of the list we considered, we stopped to surprised to find Bill Kolb's Subarus there. They were chatting among themselves even though we stood there for over fifteen to twenty minutes and was trying to get their attention. When Holman finally came over he explained the car to us and eased our concerns about transporting my husband's handicap scooter in it. Since we had purchased two cars before from Bill Kolb, we asked if any of the fleet cars were coming in and when Holman told us they were expected at the end of the week and he would call us when they did. We did not hear from him and we thought they didn't arrive because of all the snowstorms we had been having. He finally called us on Tuesday eleven days later and told us they arrived and were going fast. He also advised us quite a few had been sold already and to come in quickly if we were interested. I told him I would come in the next day, but he asked us to wait to Thursday. My husband and I decided if they were going that quickly we would not have a good selection to pick from and decided to find another dealership. When Holman called this morning to find out if we were keeping our appointment I told him how dissatisfied we were so far. He informed me they still had 18 of the original 42 left and we could pick from them. In the past this dealership seemed to value their customers and especially repeat ones. I feel Holman could have notified us when the cars arrived and not days later. The poor customer service at the show along with that makes it a dealership that doesn't value their customers. More

We could not have been more nervous about the situation, TV and friends stories all lead you to believe that buying a car is a long and difficult time consuming process where you need to know every spec and number before you walk in so you can call a sneaky dealers bluff and pretend to walk out the door to get the lowest price etc etc... Bob and Gary were genuinely nice guys who just wanted to help us get the best deal on the best car. No nonsense, no games, no confusion. They were knowledgable, comforting, and have continued to provide unparalleled support compared to two other dealerships we visited before going to Bill Kolb Jr in Orangeburg. This is our first Subaru and we are not only already decidedly customers for life of the brand, but of this Dealership. Cannot recommend enough. Especially if this is your first time buying a car, there is no other option. More
I was visiting Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru on Saturday after looking at some cars online. First, the dealership has very good price on cars, but no negotiation. But why bother? I visited other Subaru dealer and spent 5-6 hours, but couldn't even come close to this price. The sales team do not work under commission, they are truly there to help. Howard was my sales rep and he is a great guy to work with. Unlike other car dealers, it was hassle free. They are no drama by giving you unrealistic number at the beginning and try to give you little discount on that to make you feel good (fool you), and talk with Sales manager to finalize the sale. It was straight forward, I had very competitive price on my brand new Subaru BRZ Limited and I didn't have to nego anything. Took out for a short test drive and done. No need for drama and time waste. Highly recommend Howard, he can keep things simple and straight forward. Very friendly and look after you with honesty. It only took me 30~45 mins to get the deal done. Mainly to go over the benefits and warranty. Highly recommended to work with Howard and I will get my next car from him. More
My son introduced me to the dealership after a thorough search of many Subaru dealerships in New York. It was an "on target" recommendation. Rich Knell was very knowledgeable. He also wasn't a "pushy" sales person and was very clear describing the Kolb policies. For example: Kolb does not barter with the cost of their cars. The price is the price, period. Their philosophy is that it's unfair to those customers who may not be the "best" negotiators. Also, my son's brother is a cars salesman in California and he agreed that the price for our car is very fair. I would recommend this dealership to anyone who is seeking a solid, honest, and very helpful car buying experience. Helen Helfer More

It would not stop in the least bit of snow but rather slide like Derek Jeter sliding into 2nd base with the slightest touch of the brake pedal. And this winter season the bumps/ potholes here in the North East are horrendous!!! When I rode over them I thought the axel was going to fall off and also loose a wheel in the process. This Mini was $34,000 when I signed the 3 year lease (not cheap) and I was feeling trapped for the next three years. I spoke with Bill Kolb Jr. and was happy when I was told I can get out of my lease and get into a Subaru. I had bought a 2007 Legacy GT seven years ago (still own it) and also bought a 2006 Impreza WRX for my son. I was impressed with the quality of Subaru (one tough car) and also the cost of ownership. Don't ask me why I changed cars but that doesn't matter anymore. Today I am the proud owner of a pre-owned 2013 Cross Trek and I am never going to leave the Subaru again!! I am proud to say that Bill Kolb Jr. is my "Go To" dealership from now on. Thank you Sergio and Gary for getting me into my dream car. I no longer have to dodge pot holes or worry about depressing my break pedal while driving in the snow. Peace of mind is a GOOD thing!!! I cannot recommend Bill Kolb Jr. enough! Howard was very helpful walking me through the process of trading in my chevy Suburban for which they gave good deal for. I told Howard about a Subaru Legacy that I had seen online. He took me right to the Legacy and we went for a test drive in the legacy. Howard was explaining the features and benefits of the Subaru products. He was clearly very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Subaru's products which sealed the deal for me. My overall experience at Bill Kolb was fantastic. Howard and the others at the dealership that help me were professional, courteous and friendly. They made what can be a very stressful experience (purchasing a vehicle) very easy and painless. I first went there by myself to find out information on leasing a 2014 Subaru legacy and to get an appraisal on my 2007 Honda civic si. The FIRST sales consultant I worked with was Rafael. I told him up front no business today I will come back with my mother, who is the co-signer, another time. The first 10 minutes he tried to savvy me and then pushed paperwork. Monthly was okay, $200-257 a month depending on accessories, with $1,500 down. The trade in range for my car was $7,000-7,500. I told him I can't commit to anything and that I would follow up with him. Then he gets his sales manager, Joe, to come speak to me and tell me that cars go by fast and to come back and schedule an appointment ASAP. Joe was okay. I knew business was business and I understood what I was doing walking out the door and shook his hand. From first impression I told myself that I was not coming back there. NOW, here is the redemption story. My mother and I decided to go to another dealer and appraise my car and look at numbers. Dealer quoted us at $289 monthly NO EXTRAS with a $2,000 down. They appraised my car at $6,000. WOW. Big difference in numbers. Even though I told myself I wasn't coming back to Bill Kolb I told my mother let's just try, maybe we'll luck out with someone else. So we went back and worked with JEFF WEINER. We lucked out. Even though at the end up the day business is business, Jeff was incredibly friendly, funny, and most important, he respected my mother and did his part of the job to make the sale. We ended up paying $268 a month with the elite package, remote start, and coverage for all oil change and maintenance fees. Jeff was also able to get us $7,700 for my car which was a $1,700 difference from the other dealership.He was ALSO able to get me the trim level and color of the legacy I wanted delivered the NEXT DAY. I ended up with a 2014 Subaru Legacy Premium in black with the Elite package that comes with leather seats, an out of dashboard GPS, and the all weather package. I lost my registration that week (womp) and upon trade-in Jeff said he'll take care of it. He did the numbers in front of me and my mother and explained everything in a clear and concise manner. Jeff is a VERY valuable asset to this company. If he approaches every client with the same demeanor he approached us I wouldn't be surprised if he sold 20 cars in a day. If not for Jeff redeeming Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru, we probably wouldn't have done business there. What a great guy! We'll see if he holds true on follow-up visits but THANK YOU JEFF WEINER. More
