I had negotiated a price for civic hatchback ex in advance based on internet offers from other dealers. I was not happy with lowball offer for my trade-in, far below blue book; negotiated a somewhat higher amount but still low. At closing, surprise additional cost for accessories I did not need or want; was able to negotiate the amount significantly, but would have rather they had just removed them from the car. The total amount showing for tags and registration seemed much higher than it should have been based on a recent search of DC's government site about these fees. I looked it up again while on site to be sure, and then questioned the amount and asked for a breakdown. It turns out some charges pertaining only to VA were included. More
