I recently brought in my f-150 for an air conditioner issue. It turned out to be a leaking condenser. After diagnosing, Arlen called me and let me know that parts s d labor were going to be over $900. I issue. It turned out to be a leaking condenser. After diagnosing, Arlen called me and let me know that parts s d labor were going to be over $900. I let him know that I had an extended warranty on the vehicle. This upset Arlen and he made it well known that next time I needed to let him know that up front. He also said that Bob Ferrando typically doesn’t accept extended warranty coverage. After that, my truck sat in the shop for the remainder of the week between working out warranty coverage and getting the part delivered. Arlen did a poor job keeping me up to date on what was going on and the timeframe in which I was supposed to get my truck back was pushed back twice. After finally getting the truck back, I drove away only to notice the following day that a check engine light was on. I took it to a local mechanic that I trust and low and behold a sensor was left unplugged causing the check engine light. 3 days after that my a/c was back to blowing cold air… Again I took it back to the local mechanic and he ran dye through it to find that the new condenser that was installed at Bob Ferrando was installed too tight up against the inner cooler and was already damaged and leaking coolant. It is now scheduled to come back in to Bob Ferrando and I’m hoping, though I have little faith, that they will make it right and install a new condenser and do it correctly this time. More
