We have dealt with Bob Lanphere's dealerships since purchasing the first of 2 mini-vans in the 90's. In 2010, we purchased a Honda CRV because of our previous experience, both with the sales and servic purchasing the first of 2 mini-vans in the 90's. After shopping for our new van at 6 different dealers we found our most favorable purchase at Beaverton Honda. The dealership was very clean, modern and comfortable to wait in. On the day of our final purchase our trade was processed and the new van purchase completed in approx 90 minutes. More
Took in my car to have my axle seals replaced after roughly 3 hours my car was done, they informed me the repair was done and I paid. The next day my car was having the same problem so I called them at roughly 3 hours my car was done, they informed me the repair was done and I paid. The next day my car was having the same problem so I called them at that time I was informed that they had made a mistake and my car had not been fixed, they claimed that the axles were not the problem and that the car needed a new transmission so they did not fix the axles. The day of the so called repair they made no mention of the car needing a new transmission in fact as stated they informed me it had been fixed. The new transmission was going to cost me nearly $4,000 compared to the nearly $400.00 I had paid to have the axle seals replaced. They then offered a refund, I paid them in cash so wanted cash in return but they could not do that they had to issue a check which they had to get permission to do so it was going to take a couple days then they would mail it which all in all it was going to take 2 weeks to get my money back. I'm very irritated by the fact that they did not even call regarding the mistake, I had to call them. It's very fishy to me. I would not trust this service center and I will not be going back in the future, in fact I'm looking into taking legal action. Update: We were contacted by the service manager and owner Andrea after posting this review, she was very friendly, apologized for their mistake, handed us our refund check and over all made us feel as if she was truly sorry for what had happened which was not the way Dan had made us feel. We understand that this was a mistake made by a "new" employee and very well could be a rare instance but this is the type of thing that makes people not trust dealer service centers and frankly even though Andrea was very kind we would not use Beaverton Honda in the future nor recommend them because once burned is enough for us. More
Decided not to purchase from Beaverton Honda due to icky "slick used car salesman" vibe from Sheridan who looks like he's trying out for 40 year old Beverly Hills 90210. Well designed kids playing room. I went their with my two kids and time went like that. We had a good experience overall when buying our used car. The only reason we rated most areas good, was for the sales manager. He had no personality and tried to get us to finance through Honda after we car. The only reason we rated most areas good, was for the sales manager. He had no personality and tried to get us to finance through Honda after we told him that could not beat the rate of our bank. The above named employee did a great job, and treated us really well, as did the finance guy. But overall we got a good car for a good price and we would recommend this dealership to others if asked. My car buying process was smooth and fast. The sales people there were friendly and weren't pushy. I knew mainly what car I wanted and was shown that car right away. Freddy was very helpful. I asked whether they had any Honda Elements in my price range. Alas, not. They hold their value quite well. But I did get to drive a Pontiac SUV (Not really for me) and he showed Honda Elements in my price range. Alas, not. They hold their value quite well. But I did get to drive a Pontiac SUV (Not really for me) and he showed me a Jeep Liberty. We went back inside to find out about the Liberty. Still not sure whether I want that or a Nissan Xterra. (Also a nice vehicle). So that's that. More
