Nice sales, but deceptive pricing and hard sell on extras I bought an older used car from this dealer that I was looking for. They happened to have a good example for what I thought was a reasonable price. I I bought an older used car from this dealer that I was looking for. They happened to have a good example for what I thought was a reasonable price. I ended up paying what they wanted but it was not fun. I will give credit to Farooq the sales person. He was nice, responsive to all calls/emails and got the car ready for our test drive. I would recommend him as a sales person. The car was not exactly expensive or in great demand, but the sales manager refused to budge $1 on the price. They claimed another out of state buyer wanted to come in and buy the car. Then there is the $895 doc fee, which is pure profit for them. They most likely made tons of money on the used car. Not sure why they would need $895 for documents, since once the sale was over, they pretty much did nothing. I was told I needed to send my proof of insurance so they could give it to the bank, which I did right away. But I just got an email from the bank saying they need my insurance details.. so that was not done. All e-mails after the sale asking about my tags were pretty much ignored too. The finance person was able to get a good interest rate for me, but he did a hard sell on a bunch of ridiculous add on warranties and services that would have tripled the price of a 10 year old Toyota! On the internet they need to be honest about the pricing. Include the "doc/profit" fee in the advertised price, and for new cars, they should be required to include the destination fee. It's very deceptive when a new car is advertised as MSRP (which includes $1k destination) - Discount, but then the $1k always has to be added back in. We heard one person next to us say "how did the car suddenly go from $17k to $20k?" Get you in the door with an unrealistic price. Also, I know COVID19 is terrible for everyone to deal with, but about 1/4 of the employees I saw walking around did not have a mask on. More
