We purchased a 2021 Volvo from Borton Volvo Cars. We worked with Andrew (Andy) Jensen who is one of the best salespersons we have ever worked with. He truly was AMAZING. He patiently answered every question and addressed every concern that we had related to the purchase of this vehicle. If he did not know an answer, he was honest about that, and then found out the answer for us. Part of this transaction took place by phone and email, because we live in a different state. He was always prompt and responsive in answering emails or returning phone calls. He provided us whatever we requested such as photos of the vehicle we hoped to buy. We felt no pressure! We were impressed before making the sale; however, after the sale was made, Andrew made it clear to us that he would "be there" in the event that we had any issues related to the car. We did and he was! It had been years since we purchased a new vehicle, and understanding the technology was overwhelming for us. He met with us not once but twice for several hours each time to help us with the technological aspects of using our car. Additionally, after we drove it home, we noticed a "flaw" in the finish. It bothered us enough to contact Andy who made all of the arrangements to take care of that issue for us and while the work was being done, he arranged for us to use a car at no charge. He also arrange to have our first complimentary service done as well. I am so grateful that we had a knowledgable salesperson who did not pressure us in any way and who made it clear to us that he would be our advocate and "go to" person as we were making our decision to buy, and more importantly, he would be there for us after our purchase was made. I get the feeling that Andy Jensen really loves his job, likes working with his customers and cares about helping them, has a strong work ethic and integrity, and holds himself to a high standard when providing the exceptional car-buying experience. More

I recently purchased my third Volvo from Borton, this time from Gene Kaganovsky. Gene is first and foremost a great guy. He is also one of the most professional sales people I’ve had the pleasure to work with. Gene was patient, thorough, incredibly knowledgeable, and most importantly transparent. My S90 is absolutely beautiful, works perfectly for me and my family, and is a wonderful touring sedan. Gene made my purchase experience seamless, and I left Borton with a tremendous volume of knowledge about my new vehicle. Take my advice - when it’s time for your next vehicle, call Gene Kaganovsky. You will be glad you did. More

My daughter was looking for a Volvo S60, and although we live i Borton Wow, I wish I had read all the bad reviews before we bought from Borton Volvo. My daughter was looking for a Volvo S60, and although we live in Kansas City, inventory was low and we were able to locate one at Borton. According to the sales person, the car had originally been bought at Borton and was dealer-maintained — on time — for every scheduled maintenance. Anyone looking for a used car knows how hard it is to find a car that you can trust the history. The dealer-maintained record gave us confidence that it was ok to buy a higher- mileage car. Volvos last forever, right? Bought a one-way plane ticket — sales experience was seamless — and drove it back to KC from Minneapolis. Knew from online searches the only complaint about this model was excessive oil consumption, so checked it weekly. 33 days after buying the car, the oil was two quarts low, so we topped it off. Five days later, <2000 miles after purchase, engine threw a rod and the car is totaled. Is Borton helping? Nope. Suggested we sell it for parts. We offered to have it towed to MPLS so maybe they could rectify. Nope. We understand used cars are “as is,” but when the price supposedly reflected the Borton Service Department’s supposed superior maintenance, it should last more than 38 days and 1900 miles. We trusted the dealership to stand behind their product. Shame on them for having no conscience. Use yours and go elsewhere. More

Best car buying experience ever! My wife and I worked with Bryan Stave for nearly 3 months to come up with exactly the car we were looking for. We started with demo's, worked up to last years model, and with Bryan Stave for nearly 3 months to come up with exactly the car we were looking for. We started with demo's, worked up to last years model, and finally ordered exactly what we wanted (XC60). Bryan was patient and zero pressure. The car is absolutely perfect! The showroom was immaculate, the service excellent, the business portion extremely professional and knowledgeable (especially with out of state purchase). I can't give a high enough rating for what we experienced! More

To say Borton was dishonest when I purchased my S60 in June 2018 is an understatement. Drove from WI to pick up as car was a fair price; price lower on internet than they sold for, had miles on it not ref June 2018 is an understatement. Drove from WI to pick up as car was a fair price; price lower on internet than they sold for, had miles on it not reflected on internet and was not just a “dealer demo” as they explained via phone (one salesperson Drive) but rather used for daily rentals I learned after I found contracts in car. Within a week of having car; check tire pressure warning comes on for passenger rear tire. Husband check and there is no issue- this scenario repeats weekly so i call Borton. They didn’t care at all - a fluke they say. Fast forward to this week and many messages re: tire pressure with no issue; light comes on this week and the tire is flat and has a cracked rim. Clearly as I bought it; happy to pull over to a safe spot. Joelle was dismissive & dishonest in all my inquiries over the past 18 months! More

They convinced me to finance through them as they could "easily match the rate" I was approved for. After negating the unnecessary ad on's however I was contacted and told my rate would go up a quarter of a percentage point. This is 100% false. They tried to get me to finance more than the car is worth after putting down a $5,000 deposit. When i called them to ask why this is and what i can do to go back to the agreed upon rate and price i was accused of "chirping" by Paul Christenson. Needless to say this was very rude to be insulted by a place i am simply trying to do business with. So i got no help at all. This is the worst buying experience I have ever had and I urge everyone to reconsider doing business through financing here. More
