Dear Dr. Rauchwarger, First, I would like to thank you for the very positive comments about Bozard Ford and our people. Given the fact that this was a difficult situation for everyone, I truly do appreciate your kind words. I have done some investigation into the cause of the incident. What has been described to me is that a small piece of weld splatter was found on the surface of a fitting. This small piece of splatter eventually cut a gasket thus causing the leak. My first thought was that any leak should have been caught by us as all of our vehicles recieve a predelivery inspection. However, this was not an issue that could be seen right away. Even quality control inspections at the factory would not have caught this. Please do not take me wrong. I am not making excuses or trying to avoid responsibility. I have been in the Ford business for quite some time now and I know first hand that the quality of the Ford product is better than ever. However, these vehicles are built by men and sometimes something will go wrong. I am sorry that you were disapointed with the response you recieved from Ford.
