8+ Years of PAIN. Service department has given consistent upsetting service. Too much inconsistently bad service. Unless you are getting an oil change, tire rotation, Service department has given consistent upsetting service. Too much inconsistently bad service. Unless you are getting an oil change, tire rotation, filter replacement, or something standard then be prepared that you will be putting effort in for your service experience. You will likely be calling to see the status of your vehicle. It is very expensive to work with a dealer in general, but it becomes worse when they continually have you replacing parts. Parts that don't need to be replaced, just because their diagnosis system is flawed. We continued to use this department due to the factory warranty, then when that wore off we were convinced to extend the warranty. The other owner of the car was convinced again to extend the warranty for a second time, with a promise that the service would improve, and we would be taken care of. This never happened. - Trying to get them to resolve an issue is hard. - Getting them to try to take accountability for their mistakes is worse. - They have "lost" records of the car getting service done. Then when we dig up the paperwork from years ago, they suddenly see it. - We have even been told to be happy someone helped us when it wasn't their job. - We were pushed around and around in circles from different members between the service scheduling department, and the service department itself. - The manager throughout the majority of our service there was Mike. The main thing we can say about him is that he was the nicest person we had spoken to whenever we had to talk to him. - We went through so many different service department representatives that we cannot give a name for a singular person unless we went through each individual dealing. Each had their strong suits, and flaws. - The service department broke our windshield then told us they would only cover half of it. - The service department tore up our steering wheel, then told us they would do nothing about it because we had no proof they did it... When it was in there shop for 2 weeks and didn't have anything torn before. - The service department removed our luggage guard to tell us that we must have never had one. Then told us that for it to be removed they basically have to remove the full bumper. It took us pulling up photos from the car purchase to prove it was there. Only for them to say they could look it up using the factory VIN to confirm it was there. Then VOILA! "Oh, I guess we did that..." This was the ONLY thing they took accountability for, the only thing they paid for, and even then we had to fight to get to that point. - We had them take the car out due to a noise that was persistent, continually to be told it could be X, Y, Z, to pay them to replace those parts for the noise to still be there. Not to mention that we would come back to be told they don't test drive cars by another rep, where we were told the manager took it out to test for the noise. We finally decided to give what would be our last shot to the service department. After we paid the diagnosis fee, we learned the warranty we paid for never was in effect. Our payment, though taken from our account, was never sent to the warranty company. Issues upon issues happened over this. It got to the point where we went to the dealer manager for a resolution. It took days for it to get resolved, and we feel that if we did not become persistent then it would not have been resolved. They returned the money, and we haven't returned since. Where we are at presently... We are supposed to be able to take the car back in for warrantied parts when failure happened due to a complaint when the warranty was in place. The documentation for these services are somehow missing. We have tried to obtain this from the service department. Called in to be told we would get a call back, to receive none. We called back twice just to get the same response. More
The tech left us sitting in the waiting room. Didn’t bother to tell us the car was ready. Luckily I looked outside and saw it sitting in the parking lot! We drove up from Helper. The first part of my service was fine the attendant was attentive to my requests and the service was completed in a timely manner. That’s when the trouble began. As I approached my vehicle in the parking attentive to my requests and the service was completed in a timely manner. That’s when the trouble began. As I approached my vehicle in the parking lot I notice the running board was down. Funny, I have not used the running board in over two months. The vehicle doors were closed so the running board should have been retracted. I opend the car door and noticed the auto button was on. Why? I immediately went back into the service are and asked for Enrique to come take a look at my car. His response was have you been off road recently? That pissed me off. My vehicle has never been on dirt. We talked a bit I asked to bring it back into the shop for evaluation. We tried to engage and disengage the the auto switch. No luck the board would not retract. He recommended I take it to the car wash and hose it down maybe there was some dirt or ice blocking the mechanism. As I departed the lot I noticed the light on my dash for the running board was on. After a few feet the running board retracted and the light turned off. I went to the car wash and hosed down the running board. It did solve the issue the running board still did not retract until I moved the vehicle. For reference there is not issue with the passenger side running board Questions Why was the running board auto switch turned on. Obviously the mechanic working on my vehicle engaged the switch. Why? There was no need, I was only having my tires rotated. The bigger question is why the attendant or mechanic did not mention the issue when I was checking out. Did they not observe. Or did they think I wouldn’t notice. I want to bring the vehicle back in and I want to get the problem resolved. More
