Check engine light Saw a really nice truck priced online for the year and mileage, So I decided to come in and check it out. test drive it and it felt better than any t Saw a really nice truck priced online for the year and mileage, So I decided to come in and check it out. test drive it and it felt better than any truck I have test driven before. So this was the truck I wanted. The only problem was the A/C didn’t work. So they thought they just had to recharge it but it needed a new compressor so it took a few for days to have the truck ready and I’m really glad they fixed this. My salesman did a great job calling and texting me keeping me updated on when the truck was going to be done. Came in a few days later finished the deal and bought the truck. Upon starting the truck it didn’t sound right, engine was pulsing and I thought it was just because it hasn’t been driven in a while and had some work done. In the 15 minute ride home the check engine light turned on. That answered to why the truck felt like a completely different one then what I test drove. Called as I got home and they said to come in the next day. Came in, did a test and said it was the air intake. Clean it did some other stuff and said I should be good. Went out to the truck thinking it was going to be all fixed and the truck was making the same noise when it started up. They Looked at it again and said it would be fine. Now the truck was shifting really hard while breaking to a stop. Jerking the car to a stop. This slowly went away on the hour drive to our camp. And as I got there the engine light turned back on. Called and was told to bring the truck in when I got home. Was half way to the store and was told to turn around, they ordered a new part and don’t bother coming in and to come in on Monday. Called Monday two days later to see if the part was in. I called the manager two times and left a text message, With no answer. My salesman called and asked about it and I told him what has happened. Told him the story and a few minutes later the service guy called and said they have the part but can’t put it in for me for over another week. So I have a truck needing a new air intake and possibly something else wrong, with the check engine light on. And have to wait and drive it for another week because they can’t fit in time to repair a truck that was just sold, and not even close to what I really enjoyed when I test drove it. I don’t know how a truck can be sold and have a check engine light on 15 minutes after purchased. And not be a main priority to be fix and taken care of. As soon as the parts are in. So hopefully when this is taken care of this will be the only problem with the truck for a long time because I really like every other aspect of it. More
