This was the first time in my many years of car buying I did not feel pressured or intimidated by the sales staff or the management team. There was no back and forth over the price, I did a lot of research on line and based on that I got a fair deal at this dealership. There was also no pressure with the extras on the car they explained the services and how they worked, we asked questions and they answered them honestly giving us the imformation to make the best decision for us. Based on my experience at Bud Smail Mercedes-Benz I feel very comfortable brining my car for service and I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a car. It is a shame that in this industry that every deal is negotiable, so you always leave wonding if you got a fair deal. I beleive in my case we did get a fair deal for all parties. I saw a 2012 E550 Mercedes from Smail that I was interested in on the internet. I left a message on Saturday evening about my interest and was contacted promptly Monday morning by Stan Petrigac. Initially I had planned to trade in my current Mercedes. Stan and I agreed on what I thought was a very fair price that included shipping for both cars. I was soon thereafter contacted by Brian Witt to discuss financing and other paperwork details. He was cordial and helpful. Then I messed up the deal.....I sold the car I had planned to trade in. So in a sense, we started over. At no time did they act put out with me. We redid the deal and Robyn Anderson kept me informed throughout the process. When it came time to have the car shipped they took care of all the details. The transport company was excellent. The car came in a covered carrier as they had promised and the driver would call and give me updates as to where they were. When the car arrived it was as described....pristine. There is a big element of trust when you buy a vehicle from a dealer 800 miles away. These folks did not disappoint me and I told Stan I'm recommending them to everyone I know who is looking for a good price on good car. It is a shame that not dealers are like Smail. More

We had no real idea on what car to purchase but knew that we wanted to improve our gas mileage and safety in a new car. We had looked at other dealerships at cars and were then referred to Smail by our neig we wanted to improve our gas mileage and safety in a new car. We had looked at other dealerships at cars and were then referred to Smail by our neighbor. We first dealt with Jeff Smail who gave us several options on brands, that had included MBenz, which we thought would be out of our price range. After looking at a Honda and an Acura, we stopped at MBenz. This is when Jeff introduced us to Vicki Lichtenfels. Vicki was very thorough in making sure she understood exactly what we were looking for. She selected the CLA 250 as it met all of our requirements and then some! We went for a very long test drive in a white CLA that was in the lot with Vicki and we both had a chance to drive a CLA. Vicki was very knowledgeable about the car, it's features, gas mileage, etc. We were really impressed with Vicki and her knowledge of the car, the brand, its safety rating in actual crash situations and overall performance. After this, we really did not care to look at the Ford and Kia that Jeff had set up for us!! After the test drive we noticed the only other CLA in inventory was the one on the show room floor…WOW, very pretty color with very nice saddle leather interior….a very unique color combination. We were blown away!! Then we sat down with Vicki and reviewed the showroom car's features and decided to see what kind of deal we could get. We were surprised to find out that the deal would work out to only cost $1 more that our current car payment after we were approved for the loan at a low interest rate. Naturally, we said YES!!! The business manager was tremendous with us and they let us take the car home over the weekend before we signed all the papers. That Monday evening, we signed the deal and Vicki took another HOUR with us in the car to show us how to operated EVERY button on that car! She explained in detail the aftermarket options, the entertainment and radio and communications systems of the car and future maintenance that she recommended. She was very open and honest with us and we would refer anyone of our friends to Vicki. Simply put, Vicki was GREAT!!!! We look forward to a long relationship with the Smail Auto Group and especially, working with Vicki!!!!!! More
