Update: The experience below was made right by the dealership. They sent me a check to refund the extra fees their former employee had charged me. Good customer service in the end. Original post: A nice sales experience with Tyler ended really badly in the finance dept. I asked the finance manager Chad, just prior to signing documents: "...are we getting plates today...for the $200 document prep fee you put into the paper here?.... I would have expected we would get plates or at least plates in the mail." He told me something like: "Well you have to go to the BMV and pick up your plates, but two years of registration is paid for. Look, you just have to go pick up your physical plates, everyone has to do that." I wasn't going to foul up the deal over $200 but I was very skeptical about his super quick rushed answer. Sure enough...as I feared, I went to the BMV this week and told them I was there to pick up by plates. I asked them if any fees had been transmitted to take care of the 2 year registration and they of course said "no". So Byers duped my family. It seems so shocking to me that for $200 and some convenience of just getting me out of there, that this person (50's year old finance guy, nice expensive leather OSU jacket, watch out for him) would just lie to me and thereby insure I would 1.) never buy anything form them again and 2.) probably tell this story to anyone who will listen for the rest of time. I'm so disappointed at being treated that way. I felt like driving up there and just taking 30 seconds to tell him I know he lied to me....but I just have a feeling he has been doing that so long it wouldn't even matter. $200.... very small incentive for his reputation and the reputation of Byers. More
We drove 40 min to look at 2 vehicles that Byers had available on line. Neither vehicle had arrived at the lot yet. We were told that both would be there within the next couple days and that Christian available on line. Neither vehicle had arrived at the lot yet. We were told that both would be there within the next couple days and that Christian Norman would contact us immediately so we could look at the cars before they sold. We made it very clear how interested and serious we were about these vehicles. During our visit, Christian must have told us 5 times how important it was to him to provide us good service. Not only did Christian not call us back at all but no one did. So we followed up only to find out that both the vehicles had come in and sold. WOW! Either Christian and the sales team have so many customers that they don't need our business or Christian lied to us about how important good service was to him. What a joke. If I could give him no stars I would. We've still not received any calls back. More

Truck has been there 3 times for vibration in the rear and a engine light. Was told it was just tires out of balance. Vibration is normal. Truck did not vibrate 5 months ago when I purchased. Now the truck is at a private reputable mechanic. With once again engine light on p219A. Plus tires are still out of balance. I have spent over $1300 at byers plus they charge for a rental car on top of that and fixed nothing. I need refunded for work not performed. So much for customer service More
