The dealership said they were going to take my car to a body shop to get an estimate for hurricane damage. After I dropped it off, they told me was my responsibility to bring it there, and all they did was body shop to get an estimate for hurricane damage. After I dropped it off, they told me was my responsibility to bring it there, and all they did was hand me a business card for the body shop. Felt like my service appointment was a waste of time. There were so many chances to make this an excellent experience and they failed. I walked into Cape Coral CDJR and ordered a 2022 Dodge Charger R/T in August, no deal was offered to me, except the $500 experience and they failed. I walked into Cape Coral CDJR and ordered a 2022 Dodge Charger R/T in August, no deal was offered to me, except the $500 veterans discount. I went to Galeana CDJR in Ft Myers they offered me the same car with an additional $380 discount I brought this into CC CDJR and they simply matched it and did not offer more. I went back to FM CDJR and they made another discount of $1372. When i brought this back to CC CDJR the sales mgr. was upset, but matched the discount and told me this is the final price no more haggling and my $1000 deposit is now non refundable. I placed the order and signed the deal. I heard nothing from the dealer or my salesmen from order placement in August until car arrived in November. I rec'd a text on my phone that the car arrived at the dealer on Nov 30th, Im currently working and in addition I had a home insurance inspection that day and Im on a bowling league in the evening so coming into the dealer would be an issue. Unbeknownst to me there was a $1750 dealer rebate available to me that ended on Nov 30th. Had I been told there was an additional discount of $1750 that ended on the end of this day I would have worked out a way to get to the dealer and finish the deal. I was not told, and I lost the $1750 incentive. It is now Dec 1st and I go into the dealer in the evening after work to close the deal. I am trading in my current car a 2009 Pontiac G8GT in mint cond. 66,100 miles. KBB gives the car $22K plus in excellent cond. which mine was. I'm now working with the used car mgr. I tell him all about my car, by while doing so he is on his cell phone working on something else. I hardly have his attention. He does a walk around takes some pix opens doors trunk and hood. Starts the car and a loud whirl goes off. I had the stater replaced with a non OEM GM part. It started the engine just fine but was very loud while starting. We go inside and talk numbers I know they can easily get $22K for the car as they (dealer) can offer limited financing and a warranty. I wanted $20K was offered only $18K but I told the used car mgr. I would replace the started if he offered me $19K, he accepted deal is done. I asked for and was told I could have the windows of the new car tinted at no cost. I said "yay"!! But the car could not be worked on until 4 days later Monday Dec 5th. I asked if that could be worked out for earlier I was told no can do. I'm now headed into finance to sign a mountain of paperwork (I'm paying cash for the car). I want an extended warranty we work out numbers but in meantime Im asked to watch a how warranty works video. OMG, a long winded video. After all is said and done, I got my car got my windows tinted, got a great deal that I had to work for, lost a $1750 rebate for being a day late. (reminder had I been told that the day the car was delivered on Nov 30th it was the last day for the rebate Ida got my butt there!!) So many opportunities to make this a great experience, and it all was very stressful (no communication while car was on order, no real deal offered had to work for it, poor attention while trading car in and no deal made there either, waited an additional 4 days for car due to window tint, missed a $1750 rebate, had to watch a warranty video, and a partridge in a pear tree)! Never got to meet or talk to Jay! Well thats my car purchase story and I'm sticking to it. More
