Another great experience with the service department. Lisa Millspaugh, the Assistant Service Manager, provided me with outstanding customer service. I explained the problem I was having with my 2021 Challenger and she quickly diagnosed the problem. My vehicle was promptly brought into the service bay and quickly and efficient repaired by Matt Atkins. He thoroughly explained that a new part was installed and was now performing flawlessly. What is happening to Cape Coral Jeep? I’ve been taking my 2013 Rubicon there for the last 3 years since they opened. My most recent interaction was a total nightmare. Earlier during the w I’ve been taking my 2013 Rubicon there for the last 3 years since they opened. My most recent interaction was a total nightmare. Earlier during the weekend, I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation, simple right? All though the process , it was a total up sale. You need this additives or just additional services. But at the end the oil changer was complete and the tires were rotated. Drove home and parked the Jeep for 2 days , when I started it the check engine light came showed. So, returned to the dealership, and a quick check showed a thermostat issue. I was told to bring it back the following Monday ( yesterday). The $100 diagnostic check showed it was a cracked thermostat housing, this was at 9AM. I was told it would be ready in 3 hours , so I choose to wait. At 1PM, 4 hours later, I was advised that they didn’t have a housing in stock but could get one from Napa parts, a couple more hours, but because it was a warranty issue they’d have to get authorization for an outside part. While on the phone the advisor was advise the thermostat, housing had been replaced previously last February (seven months prior) so it was authorized to be replaced but it a dealership issue since it was less than 12 months. At 5:30 PM may Jeep was finally repaired and ready for release. I now found an additional $129 was added for a coolant system flush. I said I didn’t authorize that , and was told it was mandatory with a thermostat replacement . I questioned that it had not been required last February. I was told it was required and I had no option. To sum this up first the part failed within 12 months so should have been replaced simply for failure. But let’s point out the obvious issue , technician works on vehicle and thermostat fails , due to being cracked two days later , after a complete vehicle check being performed by mechanic . And when I can’t be charged because of multiply warrant coverage a “ mandatory coolant flush” is now required. Really makes you ask how things are be conducted. Seem Service advisories are being paid for these add ons. More
