I have to come back, bummer Service took longer than was quoted. Also two new lights came on after I left and you did not turn off my need an oil change light. Terrific I brought my VW in for servicing on Saturday morning and the line of cars at 7:40am was already daunting. Nevertheless, I was able to drop off my car and leave quickly. My husband I took the time to walk into town and pick up drinks at Starbucks and before we could reach home, I received the call that my car was ready! The service at Capistrano Volkswagen is always great and I have seen the service reps enough over the last 15 years to feel like they are almost family. They are always upbeat, efficient and knowledgeable as is everyone on the staff that I have met. This service department is terrific! More
Friendly dealership, but doesn't do what they say. The staff is friendly and helpful and the dealership is convenient which is the biggest pluses, but they will look to make life difficult for you or o The staff is friendly and helpful and the dealership is convenient which is the biggest pluses, but they will look to make life difficult for you or over charge you when they can unless you're careful. (1) First time I had an appointment for an oil change and I showed up at the appointment time. Well an appointment isn't really an appointment because others arrived before me (without an appointment), but I wasn't moved ahead because of the appt. Instead even though my appt was for 8:00am, my car wouldn't get into service until around 10am and be out around noon. Unacceptable. I left and came back the following week after not finding someplace else to go (my car was over due for an oil change). This second time even though I had a later appt, but I arrived before they opened and my car was the first worked on. (2) Happy with the convenience and that I got out quickly last time I went back. I needed a brake replacement in addition to the service and I approved to have it done again because of convenience. Happy with how quick I was in and out (I did the same thing again by arriving before they opened), I headed home to double check the price. Lo and behold, there was special on a break replacement. Did they charge me the special rate . . . nope! They charged me full price. Not cool. It wasn't worth it to fight and again in and out quick was good enough. (3) The third strike (I gotta find some place new), occurred at the next oil change. I got a coupon from VW for an oil change and tire rotation. I brought it with me, but the service adviser pointed out that it was actually from another dealer, but in very small print so I never saw that! Nonetheless, the adviser said he would honor it. Well, the first time he rung me, guess what, he didn't. I had to have him go back and re-run it. Well the second time he rung it up he did the oil change discount, but not the tire rotation. Unfortunately, I didn't carefully analyze the bill and just paid it not noticing until I got home. This is sneaky and unethical. Saying something and doing something else is not cool and bad business practice. I decided not to pursue #2 or #3 because it wasn't worth my time to fight them for the over charge that I missed out each time. At this point, though, I don't plan to go back and hope to find a independent garage in South Orange County. A warning to everyone else is don't let their friendliness and convenience overwhelm you. They are your typical dealer looking take advantage when then can. Keep a good watch on what they do and always be suspicious. More

Not supporting customer against VW Warranty item I brought a 2016 VW Golf in for a battery replacement at 27,855 miles. It was dead and needed a jump to get to the dealer at a cost of $85. I have p I brought a 2016 VW Golf in for a battery replacement at 27,855 miles. It was dead and needed a jump to get to the dealer at a cost of $85. I have purchased several vehicles from Capo VW and most recently a 2019 Jetta R. I have been a loyal customer and have referred business to this dealership on repeated occasions. That will now change. While the warranty is for 3 years or 36,000 miles whichever comes first, I was just 2.5 months out of the 3 year limit and there was little effort to accommodate me beyond a $50 credit on a bill of $850 (i had the 30,000 service and fuel service performed at the same time) With the PR problems that VW has had in recent years, I cannot believe that they or the dealer would not stand behind their customer on a $200 battery. Very disappointed in both the dealer and the brand. More

Friendly, fast, professional. I called and spoke with Brad regarding some squeaky breaks on our Jetta. He said to bring it in the net morning and they would be happy to take a look and also took the time to explain Volkswagens breaks and their make up which sometimes causes the squeaking. I brought the car in, Jeff and Brad helped, inspected the breaks, took care of the issue and I was on my way. Great, quick and professional friendly service. More
