It was a wonderful day when we drove up to Salem to purchase our 2014 Subaru Forester Limited! We had done our homework at home by looking into this vehicle, test driving one, checking dealerships thr purchase our 2014 Subaru Forester Limited! We live in Florence so it was quite a ride and we wanted to be sure we had everything worked out so we could finish the deal and drive our new car home. Justin made it very easy, beating all other quotes for the same vehicle and just speaking to him on the phone assured us that we were going to be well taken care of when we arrived. Believe me, the price and the options on this vehicle definitely made our decision for us. We knew that all limited models come with just a few options unless you want to upgrade to the navigation package. We were not interested in that option so it made it extremely easy to check stock in both Oregon and Washington before making our purchase. We enjoyed our test drive, talking to Justin and several other people involved in the paperwork and they all made the experience extremely easy. Justin took the extra time to reassure this driver that the car would be easy to drive home, even though it was raining and at night when we left and I had not driven for several months. He also made sure to set up my phone to the bluetooth so I would know how to take care of any incoming calls on my way home. We would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone we come in contact with and more importantly, recommend they call Justin Hernandez to work with. More

Capitol Subaru is so different from other car dealerships I've been to. Purchasing my car was a delight. Everyone who took care of me was so friendly and hospitable -- not once did I feel uncomfortable. I was in and out before I even knew it. That day while I was driving my car around, a warning light popped up. I swung by the dealership and they told me to pull in and they would take care of it. As I waited, I had a cup of coffee, and orange, and charged my cell phone -- services all provided by the dealership. My car was ready in no time and I was so comfortable, I almost didn't want to leave! I would DEFINITELY recommend Capitol Subaru to anyone who is looking to purchase a car. I love my Forester, and I can't wait to see where it will take me. More
I have been trying to fill out a survey but they don't keep them up long enough. We are on the move and gone a lot of the time. We bought the car from Capitol. Had a great experience. Frannie and the Gentleman who helped sign the papers were most helpful. Mike in service did a great job getting us our desired extras and having things ready when promised. The people who did the inside and outside protection did a great job. We brought the vehicle back to have the finishing touches put on and also got some more extras. The service department was most helpful. Everyone was very accommodating. The loaner saved us. When we picked up the car it was looking great. Thanks to everyone who was involved in the whole process. PS This website is not user friendly (especially if you are not computer savvy) More

In a nutshell, my experience in buying a new car through them was excellent. The sales people (Nick on the phone and Jackie at the dealership) were knowledgeable, friendly and straight up honest. They did everything they told me they would do and within the time they quoted. The price of the car was extremely competitive (I did a lot of checking beforehand) and there was no attempt to alter that price or otherwise manipulate. After the sale was completed, Jackie spent a lot of time with me going over the details of use of some of the cars features. She also contacted me after I'd had a chance to drive the car for a few days just to make sure everything was OK. Thanks, Donn Donn More
I worked with Eric Dunlap and Justin Hernandez to purchase a new 2014 Subaru Forester. Both were very helpful and I feel that I recieved a fair price for the car. I got the CostCo pricing and there w purchase a new 2014 Subaru Forester. Both were very helpful and I feel that I recieved a fair price for the car. I purchased a Subaru Outback in 2002 and have had all needed services and repairs done at Capitol Subaru in Salem Oregon. Occasionally, I asked for same day routine maintenance and was almost always able to find a slot. Good vehicle records are kept at the service location so that the right periodic maintenance is not missed. I get good advice too. I highly recommend Capitol Subaru for people looking for a quality car and service. More
We were extremely pleased with the level of personalized attention and service here. Even with 3 kids in tow. My son and I stopped by Capitol Subaru looking at a car they just received as a trade in. I then asked about the Outback and went for a test drive with Dan. He showed me things about the car and was informative about the features of the car and the safety factors. I was impressed with the car but was not looking to purchase that day. My son and I went back two weeks later looking at the Forester. I liked this car more than the Outback. I like the SUV vehicles more. Dan took us for a test drive and I was sold. Dan is a really nice and informative person and hope we will be friends from now on. He is very personable and caring. If you are looking for a car, go to Capitol Subaru! They are very nice and the safety features really sold me! Thank you Dan! More
Went in to get a replacement key and a software update for our 2012 Outback. Day 1: Two hours, software updated was told the key machine was broken come back tomorrow. Day 2: Two hours, they com for our 2012 Outback. Day 1: Two hours, software updated was told the key machine was broken come back tomorrow. Day 2: Two hours, they come out and tell me all of the keys they have in have bad transmitters, and put it off on Subaru. I ask them if there's a chance that they are not programing right, of course not they are all experts. Day 3: One hour, they are finally able to get me an additional key, they waived their $40 programming fee and gave me a whole 25% off on the key, cost a little over $100. I drive off the lot and go to the store, when I try to unlock my car....suprise suprise, they deactivated my original key.....back to the service center where the experts can now get my original key reprogrammed to work. So if you want to spend five hours and three trips to get a replacement key, then Capital Subaru is for you. More
I was contacted by email by Justin Hernandez at Capitol Subaru after I had made some inquiries on the Edmonds.com website and the Subaru website regarding pricing for a new Subaru Outback. I wrote back to Subaru after I had made some inquiries on the Edmonds.com website and the Subaru website regarding pricing for a new Subaru Outback. I wrote back to Justin in a rather blunt email stating that I was already tired of the vague answers regarding pricing that I was getting at another dealer. I told him specifically what I was looking for, including the model, additional equipment, and color of the vehicle. I also told him that I would not have a trade in. After a few very friendly emails were exchanged he found a vehicle equipped as I had requested and quoted a firm "out the door" price which was lower than any other dealer I had contacted. He made no attempt to sell me anything I didn't ask for or secure a trade in. One dealer installed accessory, a trailer hitch, was quoted very reasonably. A small fully refundable deposit secured the vehicle. He kept me informed of progress on the delivery of the vehicle both personally and through his partner in the internet sales department, Eric Dunlop. All emails and phone calls were returned promptly and all questions were answered - nothing vague or left to interpretation. When I contacted the other dealers that I was dealing with one said that they couldn't even come close to the "out the door" price quoted by Capitol Subaru. Another offered to match the price and "throw in" a full tank of gas. The vehicle arrived at the dealership on time and the hitch was installed as promised. Another employee of the dealership went over in detail options for purchasing an extended warrantee but there was no pressure to buy. He accepted our decision not to purchase the extended warrantee without any argument or negative remarks. Everything went extremely smoothly. When we took delivery, to our surprise there was a full tank of gas, and we didn't have to ask for it! One final note: I probably didn't have to be so blunt in my first email to Justin. I found out that Capitol Subaru's written policy is to handle sales exactly as the sale was handled for me: no hassle and complete honesty in answering all the customers questions and meeting all the customer's requirements.
