Transaction was very smooth and went well. After taking my car to my local dealership for an inspection they identified a problem with the vehicle that needed to be fixed. I notified CarMax and they rectified the issue under the 30- day warranty at no cost to me. Unfortunately, there was a second issue regarding the tires and the tread wear which CarMax did not resolve, as CarMax measures tread wear differently from the dealership. The difference is enough that will require me to replace the tires for what I believe is an unsafe tread wear. I asked CarMax to replace the tires but based on the method of measurement they employ, they refused. This is going to add additional cost to me which I believe should have been rectified by CarMax. I've bought 4 cars from CarMax in the past 6 years, and was hoping they would fix something related to safety and not merely cosmetic. More

I shop Carmax because of the no haggle approach and wide inventory. However, my salesperson was not helpful. I knew what I wanted to look at upon arrival and he just want to point to the part of the lot whe inventory. However, my salesperson was not helpful.
