I had done my Homework. I had spent months checking out I had done my Homework. I had spent months checking out cars, reading car blogs, test driving, and even renting a couple of vehicles on my short lis I had done my Homework. The Mazda 3 Hatchback was the clear choice for me. 39 MPG hwy, and still fun to drive. You know, Zoom Zoom. So now it was only a matter of selecting a dealership and negotiating price. The part most people really hate. 6, 8, 10hrs of Hookin n’ Jabbin with a car salesman. Not for me. My insurance company has a buying service and gave me 2 dealerships with guaranteed prices. I verified the prices against Edmunds.com True Market Value, and found them to be a good deal. A few hundred under invoice. Problem was, these dealerships were 75 miles away. So when I was ready to purchase I got online and found a local Mazda dealer, Cardinale Way Mazda in Mesa, AZ, and was promptly contacted by their Internet Sales Manager, Chris Johnson. I explained that I was ready to buy, and that I had some pretty good guaranteed prices. He said no problem he could match them. So we set up an appointment for 4:00, and I left the lot at about 6:45 in my new 2013 Mazda 3 I Touring. I’m 54 years old and have purchased many new and used cars, and this was by far the most hassle free, pleasant purchasing experience I have ever had. No pressure, no haggling, no backroom shenanigans. Just Git-R- Done and get on the road.
