Desert Heat: Hello Desert Heat, I do remember speaking with you a while ago, and we did research the circumstances of your visits. Again, I apologize for the sub standard service and would like to mention that this is not typical for our service department. During your first visit it appears that the express lube technician inspected the air filter as required, but the filter may not have been reinstalled after reporting the condition to the service advisor. It was difficult to attain additional information since that technician that performed the work is no longer with us. Regarding the oil change reminder sticker, it is still dealership policy to install the sticker even though the instrument cluster information display will inform the driver when the next oil change is due. This task should have been completed. The transmission concern is a little more complicated. Yes, your vehicle does not have a transmission dipstick. Chrysler decided to remove the dipsticks a couple/few years ago (depending on the year/model of transmission) and re-designated them as special tools for use by Chrysler technicians. Standard procedure for diagnosing transmission concerns as set by Chrysler diagnostic flow charts is to check for diagnostic fault codes, check the condition of the fluid, and perform a test drive. No problems were identified during the diagnosis on your vehicle. If you still feel there is a problem, I would like to request that you bring the vehicle back again for a test drive with the shop foreman. Since your transmission concerns have been previously documented while in warranty, I am confident that Chrysler will fully assist in covering any future repairs.
