Terrible experience with management and flabbergasted with their email response. I purchased a vehicle from dealership on the Saturday for full MRSP and their website had a discounted price for the same with their email response. I purchased a vehicle from dealership on the Saturday for full MRSP and their website had a discounted price for the same vehicle, identical VIN number. On the Monday i called the sales consultant and informed him of the price difference and was told that they would get back to me. Waited till Thursday only to be told that if I informed them sooner then they would of refunded me the difference. As a servicemen I will not support this dealership in the future or recommend them, they have really put me of the brand. More

Awesome, scheduled an appointment the next day for a month in advance and emailed my service advisor, Roland, to let him know I scheduled. He said "It's fine just ask for me when you get in, and I will take care of you." I arrived Friday night after work driving 30 minutes out of my war in a gas crisis and organized a ride home. Walked in and was told "we don't do these on Saturdays this is an all day job but since you have the very first 7AM appointment Saturday we will do our best to get it to you before Monday." I said ok that works thank for fitting me in and this is covered under a warranty extension right? Derek said no that expired a long time ago this is $1,200! I said I have a paper quote saying this is entirely free and was basically told that's my problem. I said, I just won't do it then and wasn't even apologized to. Roland comes over and looks at the computer all puzzled and Derek points to the information saying it's apparently expired and then they blame the technician. They do this all the time, they have a $89.95 oil and filter change special but then charge you $47.18 for the oil, filter, washer, and apparently a new oil pan bolt. Making the oil change $137! Don't trust anything they say, if it's expensive get a second opinion, and get it all in writing even though it doesn't mean anything. I needed 4 new tire, an alignment, control arm bushings, and a new key and they won't be writing any of it up now. Good job guys! More
Linda is hands down the best salesperson on the east coast she was able to get me in a good reliable vehicle and helped and met all my needs. I thought I wouldn’t be able too get a vehicle but she made coast she was able to get me in a good reliable vehicle and helped and met all my needs. If your looking for a car your doing it wrong if you don’t at least sit down with her and let her help you out if your in the area. Yesterday did not end ad planned.... My wife and I went to Checkered Flag Volkswagen, just to see and test drive a TAOS and TIGUAN. We were met by Aali in the parking lot, who asked if she could help. An to Checkered Flag Volkswagen, just to see and test drive a TAOS and TIGUAN. We were met by Aali in the parking lot, who asked if she could help. And she did - above and beyond expectations. Her knowledge of the cars and her ability to answer all of our questions made us both leave with an new TIGUAN and a gut feeling, that we were heard. I can only say, that if if were not for Aali, we might have left without a car... I can only appreciate her effort and true-to-customer service. A BIG WELL DONE from us....and our daughter who now will hunt down various sushi-places in Virginia Beach... More

A friend bought a used car from Volkswagen Checkered Flag. Days later, the wheel fell off while he was driving. Luckily, he was in a parking lot or this would have caused serious injury or death. The issue was determined to be caused by a faulty alignment job performed by Checkered Flag before sale. Even more frustrating for him is trying to get in touch with the dealership. After calling EVERY DAY for 2 weeks, he is still yet to hear from anyone that has any authority to handle the issue. He has emailed and left countless voicemails to Lee Brooks, the GM, and Jesus Vicente-Salas, the service manager, with no response. Considering he could have died, I would expect a timely response to this issue- Checkered Flag Volkswagen has let us down. I am very disappointed in how Checkered Flag Volkswagen has handled (or rather, avoided) this issue. To any buying a car in the future- good luck getting in touch with them if you have issues/questions afterwards. Approaching a month from first contact with Checkered Flag... around the 3 week mark, Checkered Flag said they would contact the Alfa Romeo dealership fixing the car. One week later, nobody has heard from them! Ridiculous. More
