I sent an email to Cityside Subaru in Belmont, MA asking to test drive a 2011 Subaru Outback. I received an email back from Glen Dalton asking me when I would like to come in. Glen greeted me as soon as I got on the lot and told me that he was there to answer all my questions. This was an unusual visit to a dealership for me. We sat down as frineds and talked about the Subaru. I never had the feeling that he was forcing me into anything. He was kind, polite and extremely accommodating. Cityside Subaru did an exceptional job with my most recent car purchase. I first bought a Forester there (before it moved to Belmont - when it was still in Arlington) back in 1999. I was considering a new purchase and visited Cityside last Friday (after 12 years and 100K+ miles of my Forester L which was still running well). I was met with a very helpful, friendly, and not pushy sales person. I took a new Forester for a ride - loved it. Brought my family back. They loved it too. Cityside staff took great care of me - and respected my offer. And today I picked up my new car. All in less than a week. Excellent. I responded to an on-line listing from CitySide Subaru, which included a 2006 Impreza with 36,000 miles for a fair price, lower than market value. When I came to look at the car and test-drive it, the salesman gave me the key immediately and invited me to take my time and enjoy my drive. I took it to my mechanic who checked it out and said that it was in excellent condition. My daughter came, drove the car, and liked it. We closed the deal in a straightforward way. It was a pleasant experience, in contrast with some of my previous used-car high-pressure encounters. More

Nick, my salesman, was very friendly and helpful. I was on the lot for about 10 minutes before he approached. I think this is good. Think Nick is new and still learning the inventory. Knew enough to impress me about the Forester and find the deal I wanted. The used Forester I was most interested in had a dead battery and took a while to prepare for test ride. I chalked it up to the freezing weather and the fact that it had just been sitting for a while. Test ride was great! Went on my own and allowed to take as long as I wanted. Upon agreeing to buy a new battery was installed quickly as well as wiper blades. Really couldn't have been easier. Nice waiting room too. Plenty of GOOD coffee! I'd do business with them again!
