I already knew what car I wanted when I walked in, and he immediately sat down and started trying to find one for me, as they were hard to find in stock at any dealer. He found one in another state and we started working out a "deal." For my trade, we looked at KBB and Edmunds online together at his desk to gauge the value, and his trade offer came in consistent with those sources. When I told him that price he offered on the new car was too high for my wallet, he suggested a factory order that would have saved my about $1000. I told him I had to think about it and he kindly let me go home, with no high-pressure tactics, no sales manager, just "have a nice night." I emailed him the next morning and he agreed to take another $500 off the new car and we had a deal. This deal, I should note, was $2000 less than the deal I was offered at another dealer two days prior on the exact same car (literally, the same VIN from the same out-of-state dealer). I asked Mike to tell the finance person not to pressure me with all those post-sale extras, which he did. My request was honored, though he politely suggested that the one this I should consider is an extended warranty (I put on about 25k miles per year) which I eventually opted for. More

I stepped into the dealership and met Peter face to face for the first time when I went to finalize the financials and to pick up the vehicle. I went to buy a car and was regretting having to do it from some of the horrow stories I have heard and seen. However buying the car from Rob, Mike and Alan was a very pleasant experience. They were all very professional, polite and none of them ever tried to push anything on me. When I declined options we all just moved onto the next business item at hand. No questions asked. Rob took special care to make I got the car I was looking for at the right price. Alan informed me of all the extras that were availble to me. Mike made sure that when I left the dealership that I understood how the car worked and could call or some back at anytime if there was something I did not understand. All in all a great place to buy a car. More
So I was doing some research on purchasing a new subaru. I like the Impreza WRX and STI but I couldn't make up my mind on which was the best for me. I scheduled a test drive at cityside subaru and decided to drive the WRX. I figured if I drove the WRX and it satisfied my driving needs I would buy the WRX when I'm ready to buy. I'm a junior in college and I don't plan on buying a new car for at least another year or so but Mark, my salesman, still treated me very well even after learning that I wouldn't be buying for quite some time. Mark was extremely hospitable throughout my entire visit, he even picked me up and dropped me off at te train station (Alewife on the red line). Mark answered all of my questions regarding the car buying process and was even able to help me with my driving technique as I am still pretty new to manual transmission cars. Every aspect of my experience today with the cityside sales department was awesome. If I had the money to buy a new subaru tomorrow I would shop at cityside without a doubt. The selection on the lot was good and the customer service from sales was even better. More

All I had to do was pick up the car when it arrived. I have bought Subarus at other dealerships and negotiations were very unsettling and my sense of trust was quite low. It was the exact opposite at Cityside. I'm sure they were happy to sell a car, but they also seemed genuine in their interest to get me the exact car that I wanted. They never pressured me to buy something off the lot to get a quick sale. Thanks Mike and Dan! More

A few minor concerns while purchasing, but the major issue was that when my brand new Subaru Forester was delivered, with 7 miles on the odometer, it immediately (as I left the lot) had a severe grindin issue was that when my brand new Subaru Forester was delivered, with 7 miles on the odometer, it immediately (as I left the lot) had a severe grinding when shifting into or out of 3rd gear, which required warranty replacement of the transmission. The dealership was good about the warranty repair and even expedited it, but still, did no one test drive the vehicle? I would expect at minimum someone would try the lights, turn signals and brakes, and run through all 5 gears. Also very disappointing that my new Subaru would have such a dramatic manufacturer's defect, and we are afraid we might have a lemon in some other area also. More
The whole experiance was Great!!! From initial contact to purchase and after purchasing the customer service was great. Only if I had this quality of dealer in my area I wouldn't have had to travel 450 miles purchase and after purchasing the customer service was great. I walked into the dealer on a saturday morning, with no appointment and I was well received and taken care of. I went to this dealer after doing a search on new england subaru and finding the car I want appointment and I was well received and taken care of. I went to this dealer after doing a search on new england subaru and finding the car I wanted to buy, since they had the car I wanted there was not much negociating, but I came away satisfied with the deal I got, could have done better, but i really wanted the car they had. If i had one complaint about this dealer is that I could not take delivery of my car on the same day, because I came in on a Saturday; instead I had to wait until Monday to take delivery; my prior car buying experience to this one was different, I walked in and out the dealer in an hour with a brand new car on a Saturday as well with no previous appontment or arrangements.
