Mark Lidano made my car purchasing experience relatively stress free and was very pleasant to work with. I was not expecting to have to buy a new car this year and had to make the purchase quickly. He did stress free and was very pleasant to work with. I was not expecting to have to buy a new car this year and had to make the purchase quickly. He didn't try to oversell...in fact he helped me realistically determine what I wanted and needed out of a new car. I walked into the dealer on Wednesday afternoon and drove out of the dealership on Saturday afternoon with the car that I wanted. Michael Zielinski was very helpful on the financing side. He had the financing, etc. all set quickly and was very pleasant to work with. I would recommend both Mark and Michael to anyone purchasing a Subaru. What a nice experience. More
I went in knowing nothing at all about Subarus and Peter did a great job going through all the different models, figuring out very quickly which was the right one for me. Then he still patiently took me to did a great job going through all the different models, figuring out very quickly which was the right one for me. Then he still patiently took me to test drive all the various models just to allow me to satisfy myself about which one I liked. I was very impressed by all the cars and also by how good a job Peter did. I can now tell you all about every kind of car Subaru makes, their various advantages, what all wheel drive is, etc. He also didn't pressure me to getting a more expensive car and didn't pressure me in general at all. He also understood what my interests are and that I don't want a car of this and that type but that I do want a car able to do this and that. I would highly recommend that anyone go and speak to him and that he will assuredly do a great job. Also he is in general a very positive person with a very positive attitude. I can see why this dealership must have gotten the ratings they say they did. More
I had a great experience, particularly when I picked up the car(2011 2.5x) I signed what I needed to sign without any hassle for any additional services on the car.A thanks to Mike Z. Then Peter and Don w the car(2011 2.5x) I signed what I needed to sign without any hassle for any additional services on the car.A thanks to Mike Z. Then Peter and Don were wonderful with both going through the warranty/owner books, as well as the inside/outside of the car(a much better experience this time than the one I had at a different subaru dealership in 2001) The price was fair but as a buyer Id always want a cheaper price! But Cityside provided the best price as compared to other dealers I looked into, I was also impressed with the inventory; much larger than other area dealerships. Rob in the internet sales department helped me get the best price possible for the specific Forester I wanted. Alexy the floor salesperson helped me get the car sooner than was expected( a good 4 weeks earlier, which was a tremendous help because I had already been without a car for 3 weeks. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Subaru. More
Second time buyer at Cityside. Purchased a Forester there 6 years ago, and did not recall having felt like I was molested, so when it came time to trade it in and buy new, I went back to them for the 2010 Fo 6 years ago, and did not recall having felt like I was molested, so when it came time to trade it in and buy new, I went back to them for the 2010 Forester. I dealt with Peter, who comes across as pretty laid back, but he knows what business he's in -- a combination zen master and wheeler dealer. He's pleasant to deal with, and has an honest air about him. Generally a no hassle place; leisurely test drives, first with the salesman, then solo for as long as you want. If you want to negotiate, they will accommodate -- no heavy-handed or sleazy tactics like I've experienced elsewhere, but they're not giving the cars away either; just a plain "no we can't do that price" or, ultimately, "yes we can do that." Closing the deal was pleasant, even a bit comical -- I had to remind the business manager that he forgot to ask for my check for the balance due after trade-in. But that's a measure of the kind of place it is -- not an overbearing, hard-sell kind of dealership. They know they are selling a reliable, mid-priced line of cars to largely middle class customers, and the place has a very even keel, moderate feel about it. I ended up with the car I wanted, at a price I think is fair, and with reasonable value for my trade in. Could I have done better on price elsewhere ? Maybe, but probably not much, and it would almost certainly have involved longer and more painful negotiation. In the end I felt good about the overall customer experience at Cityside -- which is saying something for a car dealership. More
My whole experience with Cityside was terrific from start to finish. Purchasing a new vehicle is one of my least favorite activities. Rob and Mark made it completely painless; in fact, even enjoyable! I am a to finish. Purchasing a new vehicle is one of my least favorite activities. Rob and Mark made it completely painless; in fact, even enjoyable! I am a very informed, no-nonsense buyer and was thrilled with Rob's realization of this. As a woman purchasing a car, there is nothing worse than condescension from a sales person. I was treated with respect and taken seriously - this was a win/win for both sides. Excellent experience. I will recommend Cityside to anyone in the market for a new vehicle. More
I purchased the 2010 Outback with Robert and recieved the best customer service in my car buying experience. My first purchase of a vehicle outside the big 3 US makers and could not be more pleased with the best customer service in my car buying experience. My first purchase of a vehicle outside the big 3 US makers and could not be more pleased with the vehicle and the dealership. I have reurned to serive the vehicle 3 times now and there are other dealers closer I could go to but, they don't have this excelent rating, I will go the extra miles for great service. More
The staff at Cityside were extremely professional and courteous. I worked with Peter Rosenberg who was a huge help in finding the right car for my needs, and in a way that did not make me feel pressured courteous. After extensive research, including an incredibly horrible experience dealing with the MetroWest Subaru dealership in Natick, I was referred to Peter at Cityside by a coworker who had leased a car fr horrible experience dealing with the MetroWest Subaru dealership in Natick, I was referred to Peter at Cityside by a coworker who had leased a car from him the previous year. Peter was straight and to the point. We told him we had done our research, knew what we wanted to pay, and didn't want to go through an extensive haggling process. We were skeptical when Peter and the dealership were looking for money down before we had even seen the car, but Peter was good about easing our fears, and because of the trusted referral we were able to come to a mutually acceptable agreement, quite close to what we initially wanted to pay and close to what we were willing to accept on a trade-in. Excellent service, from initial introductory telephone call, through first and second visits, through sales. Dealership reviewed car's operation with us twice prior to final purchase. Just picked up my new Legacy at Cityside Subaru. First contact was with Rob Krasow, internet customer service, who promptly responded to each of my emails. Rob was friendly, courteous, and very helpful. A contact was with Rob Krasow, internet customer service, who promptly responded to each of my emails. Rob was friendly, courteous, and very helpful. After our internet communication it appeared that we were close on price. We set up a meeting at the dealership. THERE WERE NO SURPRISES. Rob introduced me to Mark Lidano in sales. Mark was as knowledgeable, friendly and courteous as Rob. All that had been communicated on line was quickly agreed to, and I placed the order. The car I wanted was not in stock so I was prepared to wait several weeks for delivery. Less than 3 weeks later I received a call that indicated a duplicate of the car I ordered was included in a shipment to Cityside, and I could have it. Arriving at the dealership I was introduced to Alan Lappas, business manager, who could be described in the same way as Rob and Mark. Alan covered many things in a clear and understandable way, and we were able to wrap up the final business part of the transaction. Picked up the car the next day. This was a painless transaction. No high pressure bobbing and weaving. Cityside is definitely user friendly. They get a strong recommendation from me. More
