I love the vehicle I was able to finally get, and everyone was friendly. However, I feel there was a level of professional dishonesty from the sales person and the general manager. The car start everyone was friendly. However, I feel there was a level of professional dishonesty from the sales person and the general manager. The car started out listed at $11,900 on the website. I offered a $4000 down payment. With all that needed to be added(I understand TT&L plays a part) the price ended up going up to $16,000 making my final amount after down payment, $12,000. More than original sticker price. I was told there was a maintenance package added to the amount, but when I asked if it could be taken off, I was told that wasn't possible. Thankfully, my father got on the phone with them, and he hasa lifetime of vehicle knowledge. He did not agree to what was offered, and when he told them to take the maintenance package off, they told him, "We went over all of this add on with your daughter, and also let her know the package was optional." Which is completely un-true, I was told it could NOT be taken off. He finally got the GM to agree to the initial price to be $11,400 before my down payment was considered. The GM told my dad he would agree to that, then got off the phone, shook my hand and said to my face "11,400 before down payment, nothing more, you got it." They went to draw the paperwork up, brought it back to me and the initial cost was listed at $11,500. Not a huge amount in difference, but I felt disrespected that they told both me and my father it would $11,400 period, and then tried to add in the extra $100 after the fact, for no known or explained reason. I don't know if they expected me to either not notice, or just agree due to frustration, but I flat out told them to change it to what was agreed upon by the GM, the sales associate, my father, and myself. Like I said, I was able to get the car and for the deal that I wanted, but that was mostly due to my father's knowledgeable influence. I feel like if I hadn't had someone watching out for me, I would have been taken advantage of. It just seemed odd that they would lie about conversations, and throw in random charges with little to no explanation. More
