We were very happy with the service at Colonial... Our sale person and the sales manager were honest, friendly and pleasurable! Overall a lukewarm experience. We loved how Chris Farias stayed close throughout the process, answering all our questions and not being too pushy of a salesman. He handled us a good as Chris tried to (more on that below). This is where the excitement of buying a new car ended for us. As stated, Chris was wonderful. When I gave him a number that we wouldn't go beyond for a monthly payment, he brought us one that was just about close enough close enough. It was higher by enough that after all the payments were made, we would be paying $1000 more for the car. We were told that adding a remote starter would add $500 to the vehicle price. During the dealmaking, Chris alerted us to the fact that it would be closer to $800. I feel that this was a cheap move by sales management to get a few hundred bucks out of us. This on top of the slightly higher payment we agreed to. We had our mind set on a particular vehicle that lacked that one feature. On a $34,000 vehicle, they should've thrown that in. When delivery day arrived, the sales manager sent our salesman out of state, so we were left thinking "who/how does the delivery happen now.... who will deliver the car to my wife?" Chris was very apologetic and wanted us to call him on his cellphone and let him know when we were coming and he would make sure "someone" would be waiting for us. I could tell Chris was uncomfortable, but that wasn't good enough for me. Since my wife was going alone, I called his boss, Mike. I told Mike that we were supposed to get our car today, but he sent Chris out of town. He told me "Oh, anybody get give you the keys." That isn't an acceptable answer so I said that I didn't want my wife to be just handed the keys and told good bye. She deserves a full delivery. He suggested that we take the car and come back with any questions Monday (it was a Friday). I told him I expected a full delivery of the car and we shouldn't need to come back. He said "I'll find someone to do it." Not very professional, considering we just spent near $30K and didn't even have the car yet. It speaks to how forming a "relationship" with your salesman means squat, because "anybody can give you the keys...." How about an apology for sending Chris away and displaying at least a little urgency to the matter, since the customer is a little nervous. In the end the salesman that delivered the car to my wife did a good job and she is very happy with the car. The handling of the delivery timing was unprofessional. There was no reason to send our salesman away and treat us like an afterthought on delivery day. I wish I could rate the overall experience "FAIR", but all I can choose is "BAD" or "GOOD". It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't quite to the level of "good" either. I would recommend the dealership to someone else because I generally have great experiences with the service department. More
Tony was a pleasure to do business with. Having worked in sales in the past, I know there is pressure to make the"DEAL". Upon entering Colonial Chrysler, Tony promptly greeted me. I explained I was just in sales in the past, I know there is pressure to make the"DEAL". Upon entering Colonial Chrysler, Tony promptly greeted me. I explained I was just starting my research and told him what I was interested in. He explained the incentives and rebates very clearly and I knew immediately that I would be able to afford "MORE" car because of these. At no time did he try to pressure me and to be honest, that is why he got my business. I visited Ford, Buick, VW and Nissan to compare compatible vehicles and knew within minutes of talking to the sales person at each that I would not be doing business with them. Tony identified immediately, what would make the deal and I comment him on it. I would absolutely refer friends, family or strangers to do business with your company, especially if the rest of the sales staff are as considerate as Tony. More

Great overall experience! From the moment we walked in we were treated with respect and courtesy! We ended up getting a great rate despite a not-so great credit score. I have had numerous bad experiences with the service department. The service manager and general manager have both very unhelpful in trying to fix the issues and keep me as a customer. It's worth the drive. I was searching for a late model used Grand Cherokee with a Hemi. My first stop was the Dartmouth Colonial about ten minutes away from where I live. There was a jeep online lis model used Grand Cherokee with a Hemi. My first stop was the Dartmouth Colonial about ten minutes away from where I live. There was a jeep online listed there, so I walked inside and told them exactly what I wanted. The salesman in Dartmouth informed me that they didn't have any there but their sister dealer, Colonial of Hudson had one. They offered to get it to Dartmouth for me to check out if I gave them a 100 dollar deposit. Dartmouth was dirty and I didn't particularly like the salesman so I decided it was worth the drive to Hudson (80 miles away) to see the jeep. I was greeted outside by David who promptly retrieved the keys to the jeep, took a copy of my license and installed dealer plate on the car for a test drive. David was very knowledgeable about this specific jeep, and cars in general. Being a 'car guy' myself I was quite taken back by this. From my experience, the average or even above average salesperson knows very little about the product their selling which is a real shame. Anyway the test drive was long, both highway and back roads. After the long test drive my wife and I went inside and spoke with the manager and David until 9 pm (an hour after they close) about cars and jeeps. The wife insisted that I sleep on it . After a nights sleep I went back to the dealer the next day to buy it. I arrived around noon and it was sold. My loss. So Dave and I went to the computer to look for another, low and behold, the original Jeep in Dartmouth was there and available. So, I hopped in a Wrangler and went to Dartmouth with Dave to pick up the Grand Cherokee. The drive back was like and 80 mile test drive. Sadly the condition of the vehicle was less than satisfactory. I signed on it that Friday evening, the kept it the weekend to service it and my new to me ride was delivered to my house on Monday More
