I took several cars on test drives until we found something that was going to work for me. Also, big thanks to Sunny at finance for getting me approved with "less than stellar" credit. Happy camper. I'll send my friends here for sure. More

Very pleasant auto buying experience It's a little scary for a female to go car shopping buy herself, I hate it. I was all prepared for the pushy salesman. When I walked in I was surprise It's a little scary for a female to go car shopping buy herself, I hate it. I was all prepared for the pushy salesman. When I walked in I was surprised 3 or more pushy salesmen didn't walk up to me, so I had some time to walk around and look at different models. I knew I Wanted a Jeep Cherokee and some of the add ons I wanted but not sure of everything I wanted. A very nice young man named Jesse walked up to me and asked if I had any questions, he was very helpful answering everything,he showed me different options and was very helpful, still not trying to push me into anything. We took 2 different style Cherokees for a ride so I could see the difference in the two. After I decided what Jeep I wanted he was very helpful going over all the different options. He even saved me money helping me to not get options I would never use. After all was done he sat in the new Jeep with me and showed me how many of the features worked. Thank you Jesse for a very pleasant experience. More

When we need another vehicle we will be returning to her. More

Carolyn was genuinely friendly and very knowledgeable. Not only was Carolyn stellar during the purchase, she was very helpful after as well. For instance, when I discovered our car was missing the manual, I called Carolyn and she got right on it to get us the manual. I believe Carolyn is honest and genuinely cares about her customers. I would buy another car from her in a heartbeat. More

Used vehicle purchase During our search for a used 4WD vehicle, I contacted and visited several dealerships. My wife and I made 3 separate trips to the Twin Cities from St During our search for a used 4WD vehicle, I contacted and visited several dealerships. My wife and I made 3 separate trips to the Twin Cities from St Peter to test drive vehicles at different dealerships. After having a couple of negative experiences at other dealerships we found a used Jeep Grand Cherokee that we were interested in at Coon Rapids Chrysler. I sent an interest email to the dealership and received a response from the salesperson we worked with, Brian Saastamoinen. After some back and forth by phone/email, I became frustrated with not getting a response from Brian about the vehicle we were interested in. I ended calling the dealership and speaking to a different salesperson about another vehicle, 2009 Chevy Silverado Hybrid Crew Cab, because we were told that the Jeep had been sold. The second salesperson, I don't recall his name, told me that he would call me back and let me know if they still had the Chevy on the lot because they had been really busy the previous weekend. While waiting for his call, I received a call from Brian stating that the Jeep was still available because the sale on that vehicle had fallen through. I told him that I had called and was speaking to another salesperson about a second vehicle since I hadn't heard from him in a while. He apologized and said that it had been very busy at their dealership but both vehicles were currently available. My wife and I decided to pack up our infant daughter and head to the Cities to look at the vehicles. I believe the date was December 11th when we made our trip to Coon Rapids Chrysler. When we arrived at the dealership Brian greeted us but said that he was finishing up with another sale and would be done shortly. After test driving both vehicles, my wife and I decided that the Chevy Silverado was a much better deal. We then waited while the dealership did our trade appraisal, which was fine because we enjoyed talking to Brian. He was very friendly. At one point I asked Brian what type of inspection they do on their vehicles and he stated that their used vehicles go through essentially the same inspection as a certified preowned does. So he said that it's very thorough and detailed. They finished with our trade appraisal and we came to an agreement. Brian said at one point that they are required by law to warranty their used vehicles for, I believe he said 30 days, and then while speaking to their finance guy we were told that there was not a warranty on the vehicle because it had over 100,000 miles. I told him that Brian said that they had to warranty the vehicle by law and he said that Brian was mistaken. I was bothered by the inconsistent information but shrugged it off. Another issue that bothered me, and looking back I should have said something more about it, while we were sitting in the finance guy's office with our 4 month old daughter they began moving vehicles around on the sales floor. At one point they started a vehicle right outside the office we were in and the exhaust from the vehicle was blowing right in to the office. I made a couple of comments to the finance guy and he shut the door to the sales floor and then after commenting that the fumes were still very strong, he opened a door to the hall. Although I wasn't exactly impressed with them moving vehicles, we finished with the finance guy and went back to finish up with Brian. He said that they were detailing the truck and filling up the gas tank since we had to wait so long. We were happy with the deal when we left and headed home. We ended up referring my parents to the dealership and to Brian after we purchased our truck. They purchased a 2015 Jeep Patriot from them. About 2 weeks later, I noticed that it sounded like there was a knocking/squealing coming from the engine. I contacted a couple of repair shops in the St Peter/Mankato area to see if I could get it in and have it looked at. I wasn't able to get it looked at by anyone until January 2nd. I received a call from the repair shop in Mankato later that afternoon and they reported that after running tests and checking it over, it sounded like I may have to get the engine replaced! They said that they believed it was an issue with the camshaft. I was pretty upset by the news. I got off the phone with the shop and contacted Brian at Coon Rapids Chrysler. I told him about my situation and he asked when I purchased the truck and I told him it was about the middle of December. He said that he wasn't sure that there was going to be much that they could do for me since it was a used vehicle but said that he was going to go speak to, I believe he said the General Manager, and call me back. That was Friday, December 2nd. I haven't heard anything back from Brian or the dealership. I sent Brian an email on Jan 10th asking him to contact me or at least send me the satisfaction survey that he said that I would be receiving by email. I have received no response to my phone call or email to this point. There may not be anything that Coon Rapids Chrysler can do to help us with our situation since the vehicle was purchased used and had 111k miles but it seems like a very odd coincidence that the vehicle lasted about 2 weeks before experiencing a major mechanical issue. It may be just our bad luck that the truck experienced this issue when it did, but then to add insult to injury by not responding when I've reached out to Brian? In the end, I'm not very happy with the way things turned out with the truck, Brian, or the dealership. It's a really nice truck but I assumed that since it was thoroughly inspected, I shouldn't have to worry about any kind of major issues. I can say that I won't be referring anyone to this dealership in the future and my parents regret purchasing their new Jeep because of what we've experienced with our truck. We are really disappointed because after dealing with some dishonest and/or unhelpful salespeople at other dealerships, Brian seemed like he genuinely cared and was going the extra mile for us. More
