It was Izzy's first week there and had he not appologized for going slow I would not have known as slow is not what I would have called it. Since I did the online credit application then when I was passed on to the Finance Manager (sorry I forgot his name), all I had to do was sign the papers as he printed them out. More

Had to be towed 120 miles after being stranded by a bad inverter(recall boj) Jerry held his mechanic there on new year eve weekend for me to diagnose the problem, very friendly and reassuring. The quality of the customer service and the excellence of the actual servicing of the car makes the four hour round trip worth it. We own a 2004 Prius and knew eventually we would purchase another one. While the 2004 was being serviced in November I discussed the 2011 with Rick and Steve. They didn't have the one I want on the lot, but found one some miles away. Steve carefully explained in detail the differences between the 2004 (we have the top of the line) and the 2011 (Prius IV). We were considering a 2011, but were leaning toward waiting until 2012. I researched the car and dealerships extensively online. I knew what the dealer paid for the car and the accessories. However, at that time I was not aware of "online buying". I started the process, but continue to research other dealers. I emailed and talked with Sherrie and Bambi many times for several weeks. As with most people I have had bad experiences with dealers. This experience was like none other. Everything I was told was true (I verified everything). I knew the true dealer cost for the car and was more than satisfied with my cost. This dealership also throws in an extended warrant if you do all of your service at their shop. They offer unlimited car washes. The new car had a full tank of gas (they take care of you). We purchased the car from Steve. This guy is Mister Personality and Mister Prius. He "knows" the Prius. That was impressive, but more than that he sincerely wants you to enjoy the car. He wants us to be happy with our purchase. He also made it very clear that he wants us to call him with operational questions concerning this high tech 2011 Prius. We could not arrive to pick up the car until 5:00pm. Sherrie, Bambi, Steve, Robert, and Jerry (the latter dealing with our 2004) stayed late to service us. Robert the financial wiz was thorough, professional, personable, and eager to answer any questions. Steve, at 8:00pm in the rain changed our license plates and went over the operation of the car in detail. Purchasing a car is no longer a nightmare, at least not at this dealership. Every single person we have come in contact with and that includes receptionists in service: Meagan, Shannon, Jerry, and those I already mentioned want your experience with them to be positive. If you are going to purchase a Toyota, this is the place!!!!! More
I am so pleased with the excellence in customer service at Coos Bay Toyota. From the ladies at the front desk to the parts department (thanks Mike) to the work by the service department I encountered high at Coos Bay Toyota. From the ladies at the front desk to the parts department (thanks Mike) to the work by the service department I encountered high standards, promptness and attention to detail all in a friendly, clean, orderly atmosphere (even the ladies room was clean and cheerful). I was especially impressed with Jerry the Service Dept Manager and the way he conducts his operation. The shop is busy and well-ordered - (no cursing - no sense of carelessness) and Jerry just feels like a wise, caring friend. The worked I required was done - plus they mounted my new license plates and returned the car nicely WASHED with no fanfare for their efforts. Jerry indicated;that's just what we do and our boss sets the tone for the overall business, I spoke with Mr. Hawthorne the owner and again was impressed with the quiet commitment to respectful service to the customer. The combination of courtesy, focus and modesty inspired my trust. I have been dreading buying another car because of the pressures and games that go on, however after my experience with Coos Bay Toyota servicing my car and after reading other reviews on this website, I feel comfortable at this dealership. Each member of Mr. Hawthorne's team helped inspire my trust in the dealership. This may very well result in the purchase of my next vehicle. Long story short we rolled our Toyota Tacoma and totaled it. We like to shop online and Barbi was one of the dealers who contacted us. After we told her what we wanted and they were unable to find it she t it. We like to shop online and Barbi was one of the dealers who contacted us. The next day she managed to make a deal to get the truck I wanted and the price was cheaper then the other guys. Once we got to Coos Bay it was a great experience. Very friendly and they didn't try and push a bunch of extras onto us. Went over all the information that we needed to know and got us out of there as fast as they could. While we were talking I was able to play fetch with one of the dogs there and they had a bbq goin' out front. I would totally recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new vehicle. More

The paper work was handled in an expedicious manner, and answers to follow-up questions have been timely and helpful. To my knowledge, there was no better purchase price. I recently purchased a new 2011 Prius. From the moment I went on the lot (with my nephew who was looking at trucks) I liked the place. No pressure from the sales people. I told them what I was interested in-which there was NOT one on the lot-they found what I wanted in an hour. The price they gave me on my trade in and the price of the Prius were all in line with the research I had done on the internet. At drive off, I got a walk through of the car and they even helped me with transferring stuff out of my trade in. I did purchase the extended warranty and the finance guy was really great to work with. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone, even if you had to travel some distance to get there.
