I purchased a 2014 ford explorer on April 1st. I like the car and it didn't have any warranty because of the miles. They told me that is was through the inspection process so I assumed it was in really g the car and it didn't have any warranty because of the miles. They told me that is was through the inspection process so I assumed it was in really good condition and that any repairs were made. I am finding it hard to believe that it was ever inspected before the sale. It has a clunking in the rear end, wipers need replacing, tires dont have much life left in them, etc. I was thinking or trading me truck in a couple of years ago and when they made me a offer it was too low and they explained that in the offer they had to figure in a reconditioning price for it. So I figured that when they took this car in on trade it would have all ready been reconditioned. I obviously was wrong. And I am even more discouraged that I asked to have a couple of minor repairs made before purchasing it and the sales department refused to except for the check engine light. As part of the sale they were supposed to have the transmission fluid flushed but it still smells burnt. Everyone has been extremely nice but I don't think that I would or recommend anyone to purchase a used vehicle at Cortese. Now I have a new to be car that I have to put money in and do repairs. The salesman was very nice but his hands were tied to whatever the manager said. Unfortunately there is nothing worse that having to wait for a manager to make decisions. If that's the case then why don't I just deal with the manager??? I will give them credit on the part where they couldn't find a 2nd key and they didn't charge me to have one made for it!
