The salesman got the price dropped a bit which was great, he was a pleasure over the phone, wasn't very knowledgeable about the vehicle I was interested in tho, just insisted it was a great find (I live 3hrs away so I couldn't see or test it before purchase unless I wanted to drive up , drive back and drive back up etc.) we got all the paperwork in order, on the word of this salesman (besided the fact of running numerous credit checks on my cosigner and I, which dropped our points every single time) everything was going smoothly, purchased insurance (which was SUPER EXPENSIVE), rented a vehicle to drive the distance to pick the vehicle up, the salesman knew all the above information. He called me the day before pickup and said the vehicle was being looked at @ 4pm and said I should put a $500 deposit on the vehicle (regardless of the fact it was basically SOLD and being picked up the next day). I checked my bank to make sure enough $ was available for the deposit, since I had already taken out $ for my cash downpayment. He TEXTS me a bit before 3:30 and tells me the vehicle had been SOLD!! and they were doing paperwork on it! I was livid! I called Doug, the salesman, and asked if he was serious, he was no longer courteous and nice, but rude and short. How low and shameless can a salesman be?! I couldn't believe it, especially for how much time and work we put into purchasing it! If I was on the fence about it and hadn't purchased a 6 month in full premium of $874, rented a car (1 way) which was close to $400 and them running credit checks 3+ times (that I know of) I wouldn't have been as upset as I was. But I did all that, under the assumption and acknowledgment of the salesman the vehicle was mine. Bad business, rude employees and horrible common courtesy. Never again will I or anyone I know do business with Corwin of Fargo, ND. Have to give a HUGE shout out and THANKS to Billion Auto of Sioux Falls, SD. They got me into a BRAND NEW 2019 Mazda CX-5 Touring for basically what I was going to pay for a USED 2011 Chrysler 300, with half the price of insurance. Huge blessing in disguise I believe... Corwin, just an FYI, check your employee's, their standards and possibly the company's as well! and anything else that needs an evaluation! More
