I recently bought a 2012 Toyota Camry SE from John Schofield. This was my first new car that I have ever bought and John made it a pleasant experience. I was looking to buy a new car and I had stopped at the Honda dealership prior to going to Toyota in Brandon. My husband and I were looking for a new Camry to replace our '08 Camry. We did some research online and we were lucky to find a 2012 Camry that suited our needs as did our '08 - with some extras. The online inventory was wonderful as we were able to view practically all the vehicles available on the lot. When we were ready to get serious about the purchase we visited the dealership and were able to immediately receive service and see the very vehicle we researched online. In a short time we were out of the dealership with our new Camry. It was record timing for us (this would make car #3 purchased from Courtesy Toyota). Thanks to the internet sales team and their incredible online viewing of current inventory we did our research and went in knowing exactly what we were looking for, and what we could expect to spend. Our loan processor was also wonderful. He was very upfront and got us in and out the door - keep in mind we had three children with us at the time under the age of 12. With that said, the kiddy area in the main building was very helpful in keeping them entertained. A rocky start at first with logistical issues, but once that was solved it was smooth sailing. Steve and Kristian were attentive, professional and extremely helpful. Miguel Alvarez was courteous and helpful. I've bought two cars from Courtesy. I have been driving from Lakeland each time I had them serviced. My car had accelerated while my foot was on the brakes and I ju cars from Courtesy. I have been driving from Lakeland each time I had them serviced. My car had accelerated while my foot was on the brakes and I just wanted to make sure it was safe to drive. Miquel reassured me. He is a nice man. Then I went to the collision/body repair shop intending to pay cash for any needed repair (Nov.13, 2012) Victor Waldron was rude, sarcastic, and threatening when I asked for an estimate to repair my bumper and headlight. He insisted that I first bring in insurance paperwork though I tried to tell him I would be paying in cash. He interrupted me with "AND" or "SO" or "ANSWER MY QUESTION!" or "YOU"VE SAID THAT ALREADY!" "Your cheap insurance(Geico)won't pay for new parts and your deductable is too high any way." He said a lot more that. After I repeatedly asked for the estimate he finally thrust it at me. I got 3 other lower estimates in Lakeland. Yours was over $1500 more than the repairs I paid for the next day in Lakeland. The Lakeland mechanics told me I didn't need a new bumper or most of the other repairs that Mr. Waldron had included in his estimate. I am stunned that one of your employees would treat a customer in this manner. As a result I probably will not purchase my next car or have this one serviced at Courtesy Toyota because I don't want to ever see or talk to Victor Waldron again! Upon reading some of your other customers' comments I noted that he has treated other customers in a rude manner. Shame on him! I do not wish for my name or email address to be published. More
