Don't make this mistake I bought a 2014 Ram 1500 new about 5 months ago from Crown. I had thought about trading in this truck to get a 4x4, hoping maybe since it was the end I bought a 2014 Ram 1500 new about 5 months ago from Crown. I had thought about trading in this truck to get a 4x4, hoping maybe since it was the end of the year I could get a decent price, and I knew I would have some negative equity. After finding a 2013 holdover Ram SLT at Crown, I talked to Chris in sales to see if a trade was possible since the 2013 was marked $10,000 off sticker. Imagine my shock to find out I was only offered $16,000 trade in value for a truck I had bought new only a few months before. That's about 40 % depreciation in less than 6 months! I can only imagine how little this Dodge will be worth in another year. Once again, I knew I would have negative equity in my truck, but trading into a year older truck, one would think with $10,000 off sticker (at least supposedly) there would be some middle ground here. So, the bottom line for me is, this will be my last Dodge, including not buying the 200 I was going to get my wife next year. Don't make the same mistake folks, buy anything but a Dodge from Crown. More
