I brought my vehicle in for the 60,000 mile service and needed my brakes checked due an annoying squeaking noise when I applied them. I was assured the technician would look at my brakes. I was told the brakes were fine after leaving, but the squeaking noise is still coming from my brakes. Now, I have to go somewhere else and have someone actually take the time to properly inspect my brakes. More
If you have wondered why car dealers have such despicable reputations and so many consumers dread a car dealer visit, look no further than DCH ("Don't Come Here") Ford of Thousand Oaks. What started as a reputations and so many consumers dread a car dealer visit, look no further than DCH ("Don't Come Here") Ford of Thousand Oaks. What started as a simple cash buyout of a Ford lease evolved into a confrontational event exposing unethical practices and a horrible consumer experience compounded by Sales Manager Rodrigo Manicilla and General Sales Manager Joe Magana. Both entirely demolished the accommodating efforts of salesman John, and the cheerful attitude of Stephanie in finance. It's appalling DCH ford survives and retains employees with this leadership. Auto lease contracts, by law, clearly define lease buyout terms: a purchase price, set fees, and any government fees such as DMV dues and document fees. But those terms weren't honored at DCH Ford. A $3,700 "bump" was added to the contract fees, including sales tax added for non-taxable items. Rodrigo explained, "those are just required fees and the warranty." No Rodrigo, those are not required fees, and a warranty is not required. The term "gouge" immediately came to mind. Apparently, this DCH staffer is not informed of the Federal Consumer Leasing Act 15 U.S.C § 1667 et seq. and the California Consumer Legal Remedies Act prohibiting such conduct. Both have significant monetary sanctions, punitive damages, and reimbursement of attorney fees. Consumers that find they have been victims of additional lease buyout fees that are not explicitly called out in their lease contract should consult an attorney. Ford Leasing originates and holds the lease, directing consumers to "any Ford dealer" as their agent to process the buyout. The dealer purchases the car from Ford Leasing and resells the vehicle to the consumer as directed by the contract terms. But what happens when an unethical dealer/agent won't honor the lease agreement terms? How does a consumer fulfill their contractual obligations at the end of a lease when facing an unscrupulous dealer? Ford Leasing customer service immediately identified the practice as unethical; specifically, "they can't do that," and opened a corporate priority investigation complaint. Consumers should interpret this as "we'll look into it" but it doesn't solve the issue. Ford Leasing advised that "any Ford dealer can accept the car for return or buyout and to "take the car to another dealer." This exposed a systematic problem extending beyond DCH Ford of Thousand Oaks. A second attempt, a new cashier's check and another appointment crumbled when the second Ford dealer, Envision Ford of Oxnard, just blatantly tacked on a $1000 "administration fee" and sales tax to process the buyout. "We don't work for Ford." said the general manager; "we can charge what we want; everybody does it." Ford has a problem. Wesley Rose, Center Operations Manager, Ford Motor Credit Company, agreed; the terms of the lease agreement bind dealers. Rose vowed to investigate the incidents with the dealers and train his employees, but still no resolution for the consumer. The quest for an honest continued. Price Ford of Simi Valley stepped up and processed the cash buyout per the contract terms. The sales manager, Henry Ford (yes, really) even took the initiative to contact Ford and get a confirming buyout amount. It could have been this simple from the beginning. Consumers have a choice of where to shop and where to spend their money. Businesses are defined by responsible, ethical practices and honest employees. Consumers need to be diligent, do their research, and intolerant of unethical and dishonest practices. When in doubt, shop elsewhere. More

GM Steve Handler was incredibly rude and would not honor our agreement on price that we had come to prior to ordering the vehicle for delivery. They now want over MSRP for it. And I need t wanted to buy var here. I was very well taken care of right from the very beginning to the complex deal was done with wonderful results! And I need to shout out to Jerry that’s in sales and had nothing to do with the sale of my car. He was asked to put the temp paper plates on my car, he went over and beyond they by putting the metal around the temp plates so they would not get blown off or ripped up. Over and beyond! Thank you Jerry! More
Terrible communication. Scott doesn't answer the phone even when calling directly several times over the day. Transferred to voicemail numerous times. Called back and given Scott doesn't answer the phone even when calling directly several times over the day. Transferred to voicemail numerous times. Called back and given to another rep who wouldn't transfer me back to the original rep. Called back again and nobody answered. They now won't answer my calls. One sales rep tells you one thing crucial to the sales process while another says something completely different. Close to $2000 of added on dealer options that are required with every purchase, which I agreed to. Was told that they wanted me to submit a finance application even thought I had secured my own financing. Said I had to use their financing. I agreed and they said they would transfer me then hung up again. Called back, and no answer. Tried Calling Matt at his number, and again. No answer. Also if anyone is interested in the 2017 White F150 I was told by sales on Monday 03/07 that it was in the shop for overheating and not available for purchase. 1FTEW1CGXHFB77070 More
Beware of this dealership! First they tried to gouge on a particular vehicle I found in their inventory on the Ford website. At different times they told me (over the phone) First they tried to gouge on a particular vehicle I found in their inventory on the Ford website. At different times they told me (over the phone) they wanted $15k over sticker, then $12k over sticker, then $7500k over sticker, and ultimately by email they offered $3k over sticker. (The dealership kept reaching out by email to reengage. Especially after I notified them that I was going to order the vehicle from a different Ford dealership). Once they got to $3k over sticker by email, I asked them to provide me with what the lease payments would be if I put $10k down. The salesperson (Ethan O'Conner) told me he would email me what the lease payments would be the next morning. He did not. I followed up by email and text, and even spoke to him, and for many hours I was given a bunch of excuses as to why he had not yet sent me the numbers he promised (very busy, more customers than salespeople, finance person was helping someone else, etc). Finally, after hours of waiting, he tells me that he won't give me numbers over the phone, I have to come in. So I come in, and tell him that I have an offer on my current car from CarMax which will net me $10k, so that's where I came up with putting $10k down, but if he can give me a higher net on a trade in, I'll just do it with them. After sitting in his office for an hour and a half, still without getting the lease payments quoted to me, he comes in and says they can't beat CarMax, but here's a sheet showing lease payments with $9000/$10,000/$11,000 down. Terms look ok to me, but I said I want to know what the amount is including tax, and 39 months instead of 36 months. Again, makes me wait a long time, giving me stories about there is a backlog on the DMV system, a backlog of sales in the dealership that day (there were very few people there), then that his manager and assistant manager are fighting over whether to do the deal, and they had someone who was going to pay $6000 over, and he was doing a favor by fighting on my behalf. Then he finally comes back and says that the first numbers he showed me were wrong. That they were based on BOTH the trade in equity AND AN ADDITIONAL $9000 down. Ridiculous!!! The sheet he originally showed me said NOTHING about a trade in, or the value of it being factored into the amount. Total bait and switch. So the new numbers he came back with were HORRIBLE and hundreds of dollars per month higher than what he originally showed me. He had the nerve to tell me it was because they felt rushed by me. (What a joke! First asked for numbers last night, and didn't get any until about 4pm today!) Then, when I got upset for having my time wasted, he had the nerve to give me a bunch of unprofessional attitude, and blame me for supposedly not being clear. So much for the customer being right. Cars salespeople often have a reputation for these types of tactics. I've been fortunate to deal with a lot of professional straight shooters. However, this salesperson and dealership treated this potential customer very very poorly. More
It’s irritating that they add about $2000 in additional fees for glass etching, some type of GPS security (lowjack?) and clear coating. I imagine some people might be interested in these things, but why n fees for glass etching, some type of GPS security (lowjack?) and clear coating. I imagine some people might be interested in these things, but why not make it optional? If they have to continue this practice, at least add this to the price of the car on their webpage so customers are aware of the actual price before going to see the car. What a waste of time visiting this dealership! More
Stay away from this dealership. Everyone working here are a fraud and crooks including Matthew Kelleher whom I have seen responding to the reviews on here. I purchased my vehicle cash from them and I noticed a fraud and crooks including Matthew Kelleher whom I have seen responding to the reviews on here. I purchased my vehicle cash from them and I noticed I was charged for a GPS system and other accessories not included on my vehicle. I was in contact with Amir whom is extremely unprofessional and rude. I was instructed to speak with Matthew Kelleher. He ignored several calls and voicemails. I decided to email him and told him I was charged for accessories not included on my vehicle. He stated he would refund me my money via a check. This was on 08/5/2021. Until now I have not received a check. I emailed Matthew and he claims a check was sent to me. I asked for a tracking number just to see if that was true. Never again did I hear back from Matthew but then here I see him responding to reviews claiming wanting to help resolve customers issues. This is a lie he does not want to help. For those that have been wrongfully overcharged for accessories your vehicle does not have installed, please report them with the Ventura DMV Investigation District Office. More
