The overall experience was very easy and stress free. The price quoted online by Diane SHAIN was honored with no problem. Today I had the best car buying experience of my life. I really only stopped in to test drive a Rav4 on a whim, as I thought I had found a replacement for my wife's Subaru Forrester at a Hyundai dealership really only stopped in to test drive a Rav4 on a whim, as I thought I had found a replacement for my wife's Subaru Forrester at a Hyundai dealership (I was thinking of purchasing a Tucson). I was treated so well by the Sales team (specifically, Bharat Shah and Steve Yap) during the test drive that I went home and told my wife we needed to rethink the whole thing. Not only did the 4WD Rav4 have all of the features we were looking for, but these guys made me want to come back and buy from them. Based on my earlier research, we knew what a fair price for our trade was as well as a fair price for the Rav4 before heading back to the dealership. With a finance rate of 0%, we were expecting to get either a low offer on our trade or a high price on the Rav4 (or possibly both). What we got instead was the exact figure we had in mind for our car, and a discount on the sticker price for the Rav4. What else could we have asked for? There were no games - none of this "dealer posted price" baloney, where the price is inflated so that they can offer a large "discounted" price. The whole process was a pleasure. The finance associate (Paul Leahy) was helpful in explaining our extended warranty options, and was "okay" when we declined. Again, none of the drama or "in-your-face" pressure we've gotten used to over the years. I would highly recommend DCH Freehold Toyota to my friends and family who are in the market for a good car/truck/SUV. And when you go there, ask to speak with Bharat Shah. Trust me, you'll be glad you did. More
I bought my Pruis at Freehold in 2007 from Gunther. That was a great experience. He stayed in touch over the years, which was great for me. He recently called me and I was thinking of replacing my 1998 Dodge Caravan. Perfect timing. When I got to the dealership, Gunther greeted with open arms. Steve came over and greeted me too. I got a fantastic price for my 2012 Highlander. Freehold Toyota is tops in my book and look forward to when I have to replace my Prius. I am definitely going to see Gunther and Steve. More

This purchase was the 8th or 9th new or used car I have purchased from a dealer in my lifetime. I am no expert but I have been down this road before. I certainly feel that I knew my numbers going in and am purchased from a dealer in my lifetime. I am no expert but I have been down this road before. I certainly feel that I knew my numbers going in and am confident that great experience I received was not merely the side effect of having grossly overpaid for this car as I am certain that I have not done so. I had spent the prior Saturday at a competing dealership where I experienced all of the typical pressures and anxieties usually associated with buying a car. Despite pressures from the "other" dealer to drive the car home I managed to get out with simply leaving a deposit with intentions to return on Monday. At last they let me out the door, committed to the stance they had given me the best deal they were willing to give. I was sure I had a good deal at the other dealership but I was just turned off by the pressures. That night I discussed the purchase with my neighbor who assured me that DCH was the place to buy. When Monday rolled around I chose to follow my neighbor’s advice and visit DCH prior to returning to the dealership that had my deposit. I arrived at DCH with small chip on my shoulder, prepared for another exhausting round of car battles. Admittedly I was not the type of customer who should have been well received. I was greeted by Sal who listened to what I wished to purchase, wanted to pay, and wanted for my trade. I did not tell him that I had a deal elsewhere; just what I felt was fair. After considering what I gave him, Sal was able to locate the exact car I wanted at one of DCH's other properties but it would not be available for another day or so. All of this was at a price that was better than the other dealerships "best deal" possible. This was the last day of the Labor Day weekend and I fully expected to have Sal try to get me to choose some other car on the lot, change the prices, and pressure me to drive one home. I was shocked when he told me the price would stand if I was willing to wait, and then he apologized for not having the exact car I wanted right at my disposal. It was my choice, buy the car today and pick it later or simply come back later to purchase when it came in. This store was confident that the deal they had given me was one that would stand up to scrutiny if I chose to walk out the door and go to another dealership. Sal and the Management team were through and through professionals in every aspect of our dealings and I never felt that I was ever given less than a good deal that they would honor without strings. In the end I was so comfortable with Sal and the Management that I asked him to advise me on the possibility of higher equipped version from the on hand inventory. Once again Sal was patient, thorough and quick as he now had a chance to practice his craft and interview me to sell me the right car with new parameters. I choose this route knowing that I would be required to spend more money on the higher end car but that fact that I was never asked to compromise, rush or commit to the earlier deal ensured me that this dealership was truly giving me the best deal they were able to give. The fact that it was better than the last place made me feel that it was unlikely to be beaten by much if it was. I cannot stress enough how my choice to make this purchase came down to my interactions with Sal and the managers as opposed to price. Sal handled me like a champ and placed me in vehicle that was a perfect fit. Once I gave him this chance to sell me a car instead of simply taking my order he blew me away with his product knowledge both in general and down into the technical specs. Sal was able to equate my needs into features that fit them and tell as well as show me the value in the features that were “along for the ride” in the higher model car I was considering. He made it easy for me to understand where the extra money was going so that I could decide if they had value to me. I am the research type and this was the first time in many, many years a car salesman has been able to tell me more about the car I was about to buy then I could. Most often I find the salesman can tell me what he “xyz” button or feature is or does so I have to tell them or look it up myself. With the deal set I went down the hall to the Finance guy, Paul. Once again I brought my guard up to maximum, prepared for the hard sell on a boggling array of extra items and confusing financing options. Paul certainly provided me with an array of options but none of them were pressured or confused as I have typically experienced at this stage of the game. Paul sold me on the extended warranty and secured perfect financing terms for me with no hassles. At one point there was some question about a small price difference on one item in the deal. Paul assured me that he would look into the matter the next day when he could get the answers I needed. I chose to sign the deal as it was feeling certain that the difference was not intentional and minor enough to live with either way. A day or so later Paul contacted me to let me know that he was able to fix small issue I had perceived. Thank ou Paul! You could have simply filed the folders and moved onto the next customer but you took the time to look into my concern and follow up with me afterwards. On top of that you made the fix just to keep a happy customer, Above and Beyond. More

This is the 10th car I've purchased from the DCH family of dealerships. I keep returning due to the fair treatment I've gotten each time I arrive at the dealership.
