In the past they have been great, but this last service sucked; and unfortunately the one time it sucks is the one you remember the most. I received a recall notice so I called to schedule the fix, they sucked; and unfortunately the one time it sucks is the one you remember the most. I received a recall notice so I called to schedule the fix, they did not have the part, they’ll call me when its in; ok. 2 months later I go in for an inspection, service guy mentions the recall and I say “yeah, I know, you guys were gonna call when the part is in.” Well part is in, nice, no call. (Strike 1) Schedules me for following week, explains its a 2 hour gig, I pick 10am. Cool Next week, I drop it off, 10am, different service guy, tells me 12:30-1:00; ok, I leave. Service guy calls me less than 5 minutes after I leave, says they’re a bit busy, might take a little longer, like 2- 3pm! I was like xxxx, ok, but it can not be any later, I work the graveyard shift, I have to get some sleep! (Strike 2) Don’t you know, this F’ing guy called me at 5:23PM !! I was not pleased, I was not picking it up at that time, and made arrangements to borrow a vehicle to get to work. (Strike 3) I was gonna talk to a manager but I was SO pissed that I decided not to for fear I was going to lose my xxxx. Even took 2 weeks to cool off before writing this review; still bothers me. So, yeah, they’re usually good, don’t know what happened that day, I guess you do take a chance anywhere you go, but statistically the odds are better here. More
Although the service person who called me was very nice and apologetic, my work was not able to be done. I dropped it off at 11 a.m. and the paperwork showed they did not have the part needed. Then I was assured they did have the part. 6 HOURS LATER, the service person called to tell me the part they had in stock was cracked so they couldn't fix it. I was told I could leave it over night and they would try the next day. HE was very nice, but I cannot be without a car in the area I live in. So, I went to pick up the car. My ride got me there at 6:02, 2 minutes after service closed. I asked for my car at the desk and she told me it was out front. I walked the whole parking lot and could not find my card. The poor girl working the desk had to go out in the back, find my car, and get a salesman to drive it to the front where it was supposed to be. Every person I encountered at the dealership was very nice and very helpful. Evan even told me I don't need to make an appointment and can come just bring the car in, so that was very nice. I just would have liked to know this earlier, having been without a car for 7 hours and no work done. This is not the first time I brought my car to be worked on at DCH Toyota only to find after several hours that they did not even have the part. Not run very efficiently for such a big dealership.... I have been a long time toyota customer and have had a good experience in the past. This past year the service has changed. I purchased my care a year ago and was supposed to receive a free oil change and tire rotation. I had to fight for the free oil change and was told I would have to pay for the tire rotation because I can't get both free services at the same time. I guess this was in the small print somewhere but this was not told to me in advance. More
I've been a customer of this dealership for 12 years and they have, in the past delivered 5 star service. However, this last service was considerably worse than average. I brought my 2009 Highlander in f they have, in the past delivered 5 star service. However, this last service was considerably worse than average. I brought my 2009 Highlander in for routine service --oil change, tire rotation and tune up. Picked it up at 5:30 and as we drove away the check engine and stability control lights came on. Immediately came back to dealership, but only sales was still there and we got a "we are not authorized to make decisions for service". They found (?) a service tech who scanned the computer and said no issues. Reset the lights. As we drove away the same warning lights came on! Drove home and said we would del with it tomorrow. Called the next day and was told to bring it in. When we got there the service rep said it could take 1.5 hr or more because "You did not have an appointment". I didn't know I needed an appointment to fix a problem you created! However, within a half hr he did come back and said it was a hose not connected that caused the issue. No explanation of how a hose caused a vehicle stability fault. But, in fairness, the car has been running for 4 days without any further incidents. So, while this ordeal was frustrating, in the end the car is running well. The asst. sales manager who helped us in the 1st evening gets a 5 star rating, the service rep gets 1 star for his attitude toward a customer. More
