My husband decided a CRV would be the vehicle for me. Arriving at Mungenast St. Louis Honda I wasn't entirely convinced I was ready for an upgrade. Joe met us with a smile and a warm handshake. (I like a man willing to shake a woman's hand with a solid grip.). He had a vehicle ready for a test drive five minutes after our arrival. (Benefits of internet communication prior to personal appointment.). The first comment out of my mouth was "that car isn't red", my requested color. Joe assured me that here were several color options available. After receiving helpful pointers from Joe before pulling out of the parking lot, we had a very pleasant test drive. After I selected another color, a second CRV was brought for our consideration. I immediately was ready to finalize our transaction and drive home in a new Honda. Joe was very friendly, personable and professional through the entire process. As a senior citizen I've participated in numerous automobile purchases and have to say that this transaction with Joe Basler and Mungenast Honda has to be the most positive experience. As with all of my new vehicles, I didn't have a preconceived notion to buy from Mungenast, for that matter, I wasn't sure I would buy a Honda (I purchased my daughter a used Santa Fe before heading off to college in '09). After hours of research I found the standard accessories on the EX Pilot matched my needs better than the similarly equipped Highlander, Explorer and CX9. GM not my periscope due to bailout. The Highlander seemed small and more like a car than SUV, I didn't like the interior or back end of the CX9 and while the Explorer is a great looking SUV the options packages were confusing and I was paying for extras I didn't want. I'm a simple guy - not looking for nav, leather, moonroof - but space to carry a lot of stuff and towing. I was already sold on the Pilot's reliability and value. As far as the dealership goes, I'll be honest, the price lures you inside but you only buy from people you like (I drove 45 minutes past Meyer Honda - hint, hint). Joe Basler was my sales representative and he was a pleasure to work with. From my first inquiry through the signed paperwork Joe was very responsive to my questions and I never felt rushed or pressured. I highly recommend him.
