Jim is always so wonderfully knowledgeable and helpful I can't believe he isn't running the service department by now. He makes sure you know exactly what they are going to to to your vehicle and keeps you updated throughout the process. Jim is an amazing addition to your service team and I hope that the other service advisors learn from him. While I was waiting on my vehicle I decided to walk the lot and see if there were any vehicles that interested me since I have been thinking about trading in my car for a newer model. I had 3 seperate salesman walk right by me on the lot without even a head knod. I was somewhat shocked considering that you generally can't step foot onto a car lot without at least 2 people asking you if they can help you with anything. So I headed over to the new car side of the lot and same thing. Not-a-one salesman came out from his cozy office to see if I might need anything. When I came back inside a lot of the new care salesman were in the same office having a very important conversation about a social media interaction. After a bit more waiting I decided to take a second look at the 2014 Acura you had on site. I walked out to the car again, circled it a couple times, called my significant other to get his opinion and again was ignored. I just don't know what to say about that. Dave Smith Service does such an excellent job it is hard for me to believe that Sales isn't in the same league as Service, so I will assume that either I didn't look like I could afford a car so I wasn't worth talking to or maybe just maybe Sales was having a rough day. I got a "Yeah, yeah, yeah. for my inquiry about the return of the shuttle to pick me up. It sounded exactly as it seemed, he was in a hurry and was going to forget my call the minute he hung up. More

Still NO vehicle I have owned and paid for my brand new Nissan NV for 63 days. I have only had it in my possession for 21 days during that entire time. We had it customized which I will NEVER do with Dave Smith again. I purchased my vehicle on AUgust 29 and agreed to let the dealership showcase it at the fair and would pick it up Sept 15 after customization was complete and it was shown at the fair. The van never made it to the fair and on September 22nd it was still not complete but I needed a vehicle to drive so I picked it up. On September 23 while driving down the middle of the road the spare tire FELL OFF because when the service department installed the bumpers they did not reinstall the tire properly. I called my sales rep and he apologized but nothing was done. Around October 2 I finally got a call that one of the parts we were still waiting for since Sept 15 had arrived and I could bring the van in to have it installed and as a courtesy they would fix the spare tire that fell off due to their own poor work in the first place. The van was in the shop that entire day to get two tires mounted. I drove the van the next day until October 13th when the transmission blew. We took it in straight away and it was in the service department by 10 AM that day. We finally got a call at 5:30 PM saying it needed a new transmission and it would take 3-4 days to complete. On Oct 17 we called to check and was told by Jim Galley that the parts still hadn't arrived but the van would be ready in 3-4 days. On Oct 20 I called again and was told the van would be ready by the end of next week (no update on where the parts were.) On Oct 25th I called again and was told there were still no parts, specifically Jim the "Parts manager" stated "I don't know what's taking so long, I don't know where the parts are coming from" (one would assume a parts manager would have a tracking number for parts or know where their brand ships their parts from) and he said the parts would arrive that Friday or Saturday. Never did he apologize for the extreme inconvenience rather he became condescending and annoyed. When I asked to pick my van up Saturday evening once the parts arrived and the work could be completed and I was told that my van was not a priority for the weekend as they run "a tight staffed service department on the weekend, but he'd put me at the top of the list on Monday". Monday Oct 30th, we called to check on the progress again and were told the parts did in fact arrive on Saturday, however the earliest the van would be ready would be Tuesday. So now, here we are on Tuesday October 31 and it's halloween. Our family with young children has been informed that we need to pick our van up at 5:30 right in the middle of when we should be trick or treating (another inconvenience that does not seem to matter to the service department). We have been treated like a complete inconvenience to this staff, who acts as though they have moved mountains for us as our van sits in their lot for yet another day while make payments and still cannot drive it. I'm assuming the rack and ladder that still have not been installed (also paid for on August 29, then Dave Waddell sold them to another customer, then we were told we would have to wait until they ordered another one which takes 8-10 weeks to ship, then informed last Friday that they actually never left and we could have them after all "as a favor") will be mounted and installed when we pick up our van today at 5:30 instead of trick or treating. If you want to pay for a custom vehicle, never drive it and be treated like an inconvenience, then Dave Smith is your dealership! More
