Summary In 20 years of owning used vehicles, this is the first time EVER I did not recieve a call with an estimate of repairs prior to service. Full I had a battery replaced under warranty which had failed the night before. The previous charge to buy and install that now failed battery was $120, which was done at your location. It cost $175 to replace the battery under warranty due to labor costs which included cleaning acid off bolts, cables, and terminals (along with replacing some of these if necessary). So even though the battery I bought and had installed from your dealership failed and leaked you end up charging me full price for all labor under a warranty repair. And even if that is not negotiable this is the issue I have: I called and talked to service department to explain failed battery and parts department to verify battery had 30 month replacement warranty. I told them vehicle would arrive via tow at 1pm. That is the only communication I had with anyone until I got a call to pick up the vehicle. No call with an estimate of the cost of repair. In 20 years of getting service to vehicles, which is more often than some as I've never had a new vehicle, this is the first time I have never been given a call of repair estimate. I don't know if the technician realized they did not call me with an estimate, but it should have been apparent when sitting with the cashier and Vianey handed me the bill and I voiced my surprise. I said I thought it was a warranty repair and then after her explanation I said that is alot for labor just to replace a battery. Anyway, I'm sure this is a rarity as it has not occurred previously at your location. All the best. More
