Safety recall is now going to cost me $800 because I had work done on the problem part prior to getting the recall order from Chrysler. I guess not losing money on an extra part that needs to be replaced in work done on the problem part prior to getting the recall order from Chrysler. I guess not losing money on an extra part that needs to be replaced in addition to the recalled part in order to make the full “Safety” recall repair is far more important to Jeep/Chrysler then actually making sure the vehicle is safe. Unnecessary service suggested I went in for warranty repair, and I was told that Chrysler recommended 2 services @ 30K miles- 4X4 crankcase service and fuel injection cleaning. I went in for warranty repair, and I was told that Chrysler recommended 2 services @ 30K miles- 4X4 crankcase service and fuel injection cleaning. I looked at my manual, the Mopar site and carfax and these services do not show up on any of them as services at 30k. I like to trust my repair shop but when I get "advice" that is unnecessary, I start looking for new service centers. More
