Clif was my sales person as I was deciding whether to lease K5. Having never leased before, I had many questions. Clif advised me that there would be no charge at the end of my lease if I decided to tu lease K5. Having never leased before, I had many questions. Clif advised me that there would be no charge at the end of my lease if I decided to turn in my vehicle. He absolutely told me that there would be no charge whether I decided to buy, exchange, or simply return the car. I just had to make sure that I returned two keys with it. He even told the sales mgr. that he told me that I would not incur a charge. After signing the lease on Friday night, Feb 19, I read through the agreement when I returned home. I noticed a charge of $400 for returning the car at the end of the lease. I went right back to the dealer on Sat morning. Clif told the mgr what he promised but the sales mgr said that was not true. The mgr did say that 90% of those who simply return the car, making no further transactions, do not have to pay $400. He also said that $400 was not that much to be charged. To many customers, $400 is a considerable amount of money. $400 to Kia Corp or this dealership may be insignificant, but not to me. He refused to make any adjustments. I called him again when I returned home. He said that he had written my complaint in Clif's file but was not forthcoming in providing me any written proof of how my complaint was handled. I do not think that Clif intentionally mislead me, however, his supervisor was not doing his job or this would not have occurred. Evidently, he did not supervise this transaction. Regardless whether Clif is a new employee, the manager has the responsibility to supervise and manage what his employees are doing. I tried calling the Corporate office several times. Wait times are ridiculously long. I'm quite displeased with the unprofessional attitude of the manager. He simply told me "have a nice day." I don't recognize the man who indicated that he was the manager from the photos of management shown below. Actually, he identified himself by title only. I asked for his name, as he wasn't wearing a name tag, and he just gave me a first name which may have been Ross. I'm not sure. More

After several calls from the dealership and us telling them we were not willing to pay the price they were asking for the car we received a call from John the Sales Manager. He offered to sell the car at them we were not willing to pay the price they were asking for the car we received a call from John the Sales Manager. He offered to sell the car at a price we agreed to and when we went to the dealership they would not honor the agreed to price. We were also told by Devin Collins before going to the dealership that they could get us a lower financing rate through a couple of credit unions they work with. When we talked to the financing guy they tried to charge us three times the rate Devin told us about and said that lower rate was not available. The reason for the higher rate was to get a $500 rebate the dealer was going to keep. When we would not accept this higher rate they charged us $500 more for the car over the original agreed to price even though John communicated no conditions when he agreed to the price. They were also very deceptive on the large amount of extra dealer fees they charge. I asked specifically how much the dealer fee was and was told it was $599. When I replied I thought it was $899 they said no it is $599. In the end the dealer fee was actually $998 plus other fees they charge. A couple of days after buying the car I received a phone call following up on our car buying experience. I called Rael back and explained the problems we encountered. She asked me to give her a couple of days and I would hear back from her or her supervisor. Never received a phone call back from her or her supervisor. After this experience I would not buy another car from Daytona Kia and would not recommend anyone to buy a car from them either. More

Going to Daytona Kia close to 8 years, always treated with respect, smiles and all wearing masks, now. This time was even more special...a while back, I lost $60.00 in my car..never found it. Drove home, after service on my car...on my passenger seat was the bank envelope.with $60 Someone, cleaning my car ,found it, was "honest" and put it there for me.
